Might be drawing too much power for the eGo to keep up. What resistance did you coil the Nimbus to?

    Definitely internal protection kicking in.
Especially if this is the only device that does this to your batt.

    need to know the resistance...

also, doesn't that battery have something like an 8-10 second shut-off? is it possible that's what's cutting it off?

The coil might have a short in it, too.

Are you using a multimeter to check for shorts and for ohms?

be very careful with your nimbus on your ego. friend blew up his ego twist when he was trying out my single-coil sub-ohm rebuildable (tsk tsk!!). i wouldnt recommend to dual coil either unless you can build it to at least 2.0 ohms or higher. low resistance will put heavy stress on your ego battery and drain it faster too.

it wont be a problem if you keep the resistance high. however you will not get the full potential of your nimbus.

BUT there are micro-coil set ups you can try out. vape safe.

honestly i just think it is the battery. not strong enough cause it fires for 4-7 seconds then shuts off. and the auto shut off protection? its not that at all cause then i would have to turn on my device again. the device is on all times. ohms? idk . Multi meter? i have one laying around. but idk where its at. i followed some coil builds so i know its good. Im just not to sure on the battery

You should definitely use a multimeter to know the resistance of your coil, just doing it blindly is not a good idea.
Getting the K101 will sure help, but you have to build a coil that goes nicely with the unregulated power.
    So find that multimeter... :)
