HH. 357 Burnt/Plastic Taste

I just recently got my second hh .357. First one is still going strong after a month, but I wanted a new one and to use the old one as a backup.

The new one was great for about a day and then suddenly I started getting this weird burn/plasticy taste, kind of hard to explain but it was just off (not the same as a dry hit taste, less intense). I gave it a alcohol bath for a few hours, dried it out...same thing first hit.

Not sure whats causing this to happen, maybe someone could provide some insight?
