Why is it that retailers don't stock high capacity 18650 batteries? Online they are available in 3500mah and I have even seen 4000mah options but in the store they typically only have 2500 mah. Are the higher capacity batteries dangerous? If not I can't understand why they don't stock them, 2500mah is pretty much useless with a 0.4 ohm coil.

If anyone can point me to a quality 4000mah battery online in Canada that would be awesome, I am barely getting by with my two 2500's.

There are no 4000mah (LOL) Li-ion cells made for vaping. I have never seen a true 4000mah cell in all my years of vaping and using them in high power flashlights. (3000mah/20a is the best I've seen...a great comnbination of vaping power and longevity)

Don't always believe what you read on the wraps.

Shame on manufacturers for falsely advertising their cells. I have a cell sitting near me that claims to be a 3000mah/40a cell, and it made me LOL...especially after I used a set in a Sigelei TC150...and the regulator in it smoked after I took it up to 100w. (more than likely a Chinese off-brand 10-15a cell...probably closer to 2500mah) Don't trust unknown cell manufacturers outrageous claims. Buy your vaping cells from trusted resellers made by well known manufacturers.

Mine is 2500mah at 3.7 volts and 25 amps, would it perform better if it was 20 amps? Maybe I just need to buy a bigger mod.

If you want longer run time. More batteries will get you more vape time. It is why i switched from single 18650 to dual 18650 in the first place. That and MOAR POWER!!

I really don't need the power, I vape a 0.4ohm at 40-50 watts. I just need more run time, I must be a really heavy vaper because my 2500 mah was dead in four hours today.

HA yea i dont need more power either i dont come closeto maxing mine out as i vape .4 at 53watts. Its more about the longevity to me. That and to me the dual 18650 mods just seem superior to single 18650 with the supply of power to the coil being more consistent.

You will also see a huge difference between china crap a lot of vape shops sell, versus the legit stuff sold by trusted battery retailers you will find on this site. The "2500 mah" batteries my wife bought me when i was impatient cuz my very first 18650 mod arrived before the batteries so she went to the local, most popular, vape shop... some random battery with bs specs. The mah was no where near its claimed specs when compared to legit batteries.

A 3000mah 20amp LG HG2 or Samsung 30Q would work great for you.
I prefer a single battery mod also.
Something else to keep in mind, is some mods are more efficient (more run time on the same battery) than others.
