Just got an e-mail from E-bay that the account we bought the subox from was more than likely a "Compromised" account.
seems that some with shipping notices have now been informed by ebay that seller's account was hijacked 
drat! posts from pt and hitt didn't show till after i hit 'reply' - sorry, y'all for old news

There is a link in the email. Just click the link and follow the directions. If it doesn't arrive by the date given then you have to ask eBay to resolve it.
My in laws didn't make it over so there's a lot leftover. My wife is going to take some to her mom tomorrow.

i had no problem opening a case a few days ago but i never got a shipping notice either. from what i read on reddit those scams are based on the hope that a good percentage of claims will never be opened because the amount involved is so small

I'll probably try to open a claim today, since i didn't get a shipping notice either. no option to open a dispute yet. ( I've never liked ebay)

i ordered a piece of equipment last year, for the course i teach on the island, and it was exactly what it was supposed to be. I have no patience for the auction style stuff though.
this was a buy-it-now and most items are exactly what they are advertised as
probably only the second time for me on ebay that something was fishy and/or got cancelled i thought we had a chance if the mod would come from china but with the location given as ny i was doubtful - domestic postage would easily be 5 bucks or more and then there was that free international shipping!
