I'd prefer to have someone else do it but last time I couldn't really afford it and saved about 1k by doing it myself. The paint I used was called California and it has lasted over 8 years. My neighbor next door had a home handyman business at the time and he told me that it was rated number 1 in consumer report that year. He also loaned me his commercial paint sprayer. That helped a lot.

The lift was actually pretty nice to have. The basket was big enough to take up everything I needed. The only problem I had was when I took it into the back yard I laid down 3/4 plywood to drive it on and when I went around the back corner the plywood twisted with the tires and I accidentally ran over the valve box for the sprinklers. It was heavy enough that it snapped the line in the ground so after I finished, I had to have the sprinkler guy come and fix it.

We have had a rather mild winter and spring is just around the corner. Fran you knew you were due for some cold stuff, stay warm.
Ours has been mild too. It's only in the 30's here but is supposed to warm up this weekend.
