With so many of us out there, it still amazes me that I have yet to encounter anyone vaping "in the wild". I went to a casino this week and figured I might see someone vaping there. Alas, not a one! Although I was openly vaping, not a single person seemed to even notice despite sitting right next to me. I used to be somewhat timid about vaping in public, but I think I'm over that now.

I almost struck up a conversation at 7-11 with the clerk. Looking at the counter display of E-cigs, I said "Oh, electronic cigarettes?" He said "Yep."

I had virtually the same fascinating conversation.

"Wow. E-cigarettes?"

"Uh...huh?"

I pointed at the display case.

"Um...yeah."

I'm in NW Arkansas- Just my wife and I and one co-worker vape. My wife started a couple of days before me and I got my co-worker to try it. That's it around here that I've seen so far.

In Little Rock area and have been vaping a month now and I have seen or met ZERO other smart people just analoggers. LOL

I haven't run into any full-time vapers, and only one who mentioned she occasionally uses a Blu instead of smoking. (I suspect we, with our eGos, 510s, pass-throughs, mods, etc. are hugely outnumbered by sometimes-users of cig-alike mall models.) What I have noticed is a fair amount of friends (smoker and non smoker) who mention friends that have e-cigarettes.

I have only encountered one (other than friends I have converted, I'm up to 4 on that count so far). I was at an after funeral get together and I was outside using my xl kr808 with an xl ce2 on it, and a guy came up to me and started talking to me about the place he works at the mall that sells "the best ones on the market". It was one of the companies that sells 808 clones for $100 or more, so I just kinda nodded at the conversation a lot. I did mention how much I got my stuff online for, and that I filled my own carto's and he kinda got the deer in the headlights look like "You can do that?!?!?"

I should mention he was huffing on an analog the entire time. Not exactly a model spokesperson for the e-cig world, but it was another vaper (I guess).

A co-worker of mine received an ecig for a christmas present. That got me curious and I bought my first one in January. Unfortunately it hasn't been successful for, but it has for me. I still go to the smoking area when the weather is nice. I get asked a lot of questions and have given out a lot of v4l cards. No one has converted, yet.............

funny i heard about electronic ciggs when they first came out in china like what, almost 10 years ago? someone correct me if need be. my point is that as a smoker i disregaurded the information as a gimmick that would not work like the patch or gum did not work for me. forgot about them and kept on puffing analogs. then one day i could not breath even a little. gasping and wheezing, i started searching for them and orderd a kit from some co. in nyc that i cant even remember the name of now. that was oct of 09'. subsequently ive tried to tell every smoker i can to give them a try with little results. the point is molst smokers, myself included, seem willing to upset their habit and routine until they get sick enough that its critical to stop smoking. i still tell people, but i temper it with the realization that all you can do is lead the horse to water. the horse has to be smart enough to do the rest.
