how much nic % for smoker new to vaping

I smoked a pack a day and successfully started at 18mg. And I'm still there. Too afraid to go lower.

I smoked a pack a day and a pack and a half on weekends. I gave all that up on 18mg liquid the day my setup arrived. Haven't touched or wanted one since.

I was a 2+ PAD smoker and tried with the 12 mg liquid. I still had the craving to smoke, so quickly ordered a selection of 18, 24, and 36. 26 is a heavy hit and makes me kind of nauseated and dizzy. 24 seemed about right, but a bit strong. I'm currently cross-mixing, which gives some very interesting combination flavors, and hitting about 18-20. That works for me.

i may be different from most but i was a similar smoker and i bought 24 and 16 and i find the 24 alone to be to much, i can vape 16-20ish whenever i want and i feel fine, but when i tried going straight 24, i didnt feel right.

Start him at 24mg and adjust from there.

If this somehow fails take him a notch up above 24mg (beware of the reckless throat hit this entails) and once again, adjust from there. Make him promise that within a year he will lower the amount of nicotine by one step.

I echo the sentiment that 24 is a good starting point to adjust from. I started from here and some juices I have adjusted down to 18, but some I still vape at 24. It is great for starting if you are used to analogs.
