I remember why I left ECF for a while. Know-it-alls that are convinced there way is the only way.

Aw, well don't go before you see the Internet diagnoses we 30+ watt vapers are sure to get.
I'm excited and a little tingly. It's like a game show. Did my father beat me? Was my brother really crying out to me for help all those times he tried to drown me? Holy wow. The possibilities are endless here.

I usually vape around 70 to 80 watts, that is what I like. I have 2 battery devices because I want my device to last all day. I have one 200 watt device that I carry to work with a .5 ohm coil and it is usually set to 30 watts,. I can vape comfortably without worrying about the battery dying on me. I have other 200 watt mods with atomizers with lower builds that I enjoy at home. Vape at your comfort level, not someone else's, it's not a contest;)

Physics isnt opinion.

Do you really believe claptons are more efficient than parallell coils?

Do you really think more metal mass, and high wattage provides more flavor or vapor than parallel coils?

Understanding how a coil works will help make your vaping experience much more enjoyable as you can tailor your vape to your individual tastes.

Overpowering a nest of metal is like driving a tack with a jackhammer.

Feel free to keep putting words in my mouth. I never referred to efficiency, I wasn't debating that. What does vary is what people prefer and experience they have. Taste is subjective.

Parallel coils are nice, better than a single coil, I even have parallels in one of my tanks right now. Because Claptons, which I prefer, will not fit.

But I won't bother explaining further to you , since you seem to know it all.

That being said, what's with all these hate threads over high-powered mods? I mean, I'm somewhere between a toodle puffer and a mod whomper, and depending on mood, setup, and time of day you'll find me anywhere from 15 to 50 watts (give or take), but my neighbor's power level doesn't concern me, or affect my inner tranquility.

Best post so far, kudos K_Tech :thumb:

Bumping to second @Ryedan.

Currently vaping a 1.3 oHm coil at around 9 Watts. I have used dual coils at 0.5 oHms and hit 25 to 30 Watts. Ultimately have to agree preference & experience like opinion are all subjective. Everyone uses what they prefer. Yay! Let everyone be happy in that.

I do eventually desire attaining a big watt producing mod. My rationale lies in the potential that I may need that at some point. I am figuring something like the Reuleaux DNA 200/ Reuleaux RX 200S or the Presa TC 100W. Also looking at a Kanger Dripbox set up or maybe some form of regulated squonk box mod like a Vapor Flask. Figure the Presa would suffice as a basic for using RDA/RTA that are not bottom feeders.

Again, ultimately subjective choice and preference. I currently seem a squonk convert but could easily see using other RDA/RTA type of vaping. Do not think I'm going back to evods. I prefer lung hits rather than mouth to lung. You like something else? Cool, go knock yourself out. :)

that doesnt make sense at all... kinda like saying a 500HP engine gets better gas mileage...

Depending on the circumstances it can.

For example....

My 460hp Mustang gets better fuel mileage at 75mph highway speeds than my wife's 2005 154hp Camry. She has to push her engine harder to maintain that speed than I do. I'm just putting along in 6th gear and she's at nearly half throttle trying to make her car go that fast.

If you want real world figures, driving from Dallas to Houston I've averaged 31mpg in my Mustang and the best my wife has achieved in her Camry is 29mpg. Before I put the supercharger in my car I once averaged 35mpg in the Mustang when it had 312hp, 6mpg better mileage than her Camry.

You'll find the same situation works with ecigs. If you take a 50W mod and a 100W mod and run them both at 50W you'll find that the 100W mod will last much longer on a charge. You're pushing the 50W mod to it's limit but the 100W mod is only running at half throttle.

And I think you're forgetting that all of the sub-50W mods on the market are single battery mods, and all of the 100+W mods on the market use multiple batteries. My RX200 has THREE batteries in it. Surely you don't think a single battery mod will outlast a triple battery mod running the same wattage through the same coil.

I'm at like 115 watts or something right now. What kind of problems do I have?

You're an obsessive compulsive. You obsess over every little detail of Dancing With The Stars routines and can never get over it when they throw a little Flamingo in with modern jazz. You compulsively dig through every clearance isle at Target looking for the best deals. Then buy them even though you don't need them. I mean come on, you are never going to use that ladies hot wax facial hair removal kit. You just bought it because it was open box 86% off! Then you organize your best deals by savings percentage into bins while you watch Dancing With The Stars and label everything with your label maker. You never write thank you cards or remember my birthday. Do you really want me to go on?

Well yall know that my way is the only way ;)

I don't smoke anymore, and because of that I'm still alive. (and at 75 that's sayin' something) So I think I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing, and allow others to do what just might save their lives.
Damn straight!
Anyone trying to explain how things actually work must be trying to hold back my individuality.

Those evil know-it-alls with their science and facts...

On my MT-RTA a simple build of dual coil, 24g, 3mm ID, 8 wraps each, takes at least 55-60 watts for the flavor to start kicking in.

I have a Smok R200 and will never get clost to using the 200 watts. I have a TFV4 Mini and some triple coils that I haven't tried, yet. These coils can handle up to 130 watts. I doubt that I'll get that high though. I only go up to 90 watts on my Crown .25 coils.

As would any psychologically unfit person, I can totally explain all of that.
Speaking to my affinity for dancing with the stars, had you been present during the samba scandal of 2011 and witnessed the fallout- no- bloodbath that was the final routine, you would keep your head on a swivel also. These people, they are so much more than stars. They are treasures. Mind your manners.
Speaking to my rummaging, Target dollar bins are my sanctuary when I need inspiration for spouting on my blog about the emptiness of human commercialism in our society today, down to the studies I perform on time metrics whilst browsing the latest in disposable consumerism. Didn't seem to stop you from rubbing shoulders with me when you wanted that clacker ball toy mommy would never let you have as a boy. Congrats on fulfilling your dream at age 30+. (That wax warmer in the kit works wonders for a jar of queso, btw.)
Speaking to my label maker..... Agh.. got me there.
I have manners and courtesy that allow me to feel as though my verbal "thank you" need not be reinforced by dragging a few dollars worth of paper and ink into it to "seal the deal". Still have all those thank you cards hanging around, do you?
And remembering your birthday is your own damn fault for letting me believe I could really clear the neighbor's house on my bike with that janky ramp we built. "No helmet means weight savings, man!" Was all I remember you saying. Once the makeshift rocket kicked in everything was black. I blame you for losing the math part of my brain too.
Come to think of it, you have some real problems, man.

we need to keep things equal... lets see how long your triple battery mod at 200W will last compared to my triple battery 20W mod... Im willing to say that my system will outlast your system by a factor of at least 6... ( theoretically it should be 10)
