I remember the syringe tank mod.
It was huuuuuuuge back in the day.
It was what finally totally got me off the analogs.
Silver bullet & carto mod & smok dual coils = vaping bliss

A piece of 30ml syringe tubing, with rubber plungers in each end, punched by a carto.
And you had to punch the carto as well. Looked really ghetto, but performed better
than anything commercially available at that point.

Here's the thread
Homemade syringe tank mod, looks easy!

 Nope, I don't remember any of that.

(e-cigs weren't invented in my college days)

I hear you. e-Cigarettes weren't invented when I went to College either.

Heck, when I was in College, many people were still writing programs on these...

First machine shop I worked in had a typewriter for punching out G-code programs on an actual "tape" that was run through the machine for the program. That was in '87. Years later I had a newbie ask me "Why do they call it a tape prove?" That took some explaining.

I remember when CNC Bubble Memory was rated in "Feet".

BTW - Did you ever take the "Dots" out of the Tape Punch Tray and then replace the Bird Shot in a Shotgun Shell with them?

Good Times!

We used those taps to program test equipment when I was in the service, we use to put the dots in tubes and leave them on the bench so when someone opened them, the dots would spill all over the place.

I remember when this was coveted above all else:
hqdefault.jpg

It seems quite awhile ago, but, three years maybe? o_O just goes to show that this culture is still in it's infancy.

One of the FEW things I still have left more than a couple years old, that work reliably every time, and still as precious to me as the day I got them. My collection has grown a lil since this pic, as the late coming speculators take their lumps to cash back out.

Geez, whatever happened to BluSwatch and DSpin? If I remember correctly, the mod in your pic is Dspins.

So close. Welp, not close at all, actually. :D

Dyingbreed.

If anyone wants a linkie, lemme know.

If they also sell that adorable tank guard, yeah, I'll take a linkie! My Mrs. is BACK to only vaping, thank goodness. Dunno what THAT was about, but I'd like to make it as nice and pretty for her as possible. If it keeps her from slipping, I'd do anything.
