The government feels that I now have to go to my doctor every month to receive a new prescription of pain meds. So, I have to go every month! Okay, yesterday was my appointment for the month. I really did have a problem as my right foot, ankle, etc., was twice the size of my left foot for no reason. He took one look at it, compared it to my left foot and leg, and said he strongly felt I had a blood clot in my leg. Oh great! He wanted me to have an immediate doppler ultra sound. He had an extremely solemn look and demeanor. He further told me that if it is, it could go to my lung and could kill me. And, that if my ultra sound showed a clot, I would immediately go into the hospital. Okay....it took me a moment to absorb what he was saying. Then I called my husband to see if he could go with me as if I had one, they would put me immediately into the hospital. So my doctor fixed me up and I smiled at him and said with a smile, "It's all good.....either way. I mean it! It's fine!"

So by the time I got home (I had to drive 18 miles) and prayed that I'm ready, but not while I driving as I didn't want to harm anyone in traffic. My husband was naturally upset, but got himself together and put a bag together in case. Off we went and NO BLOOD CLOT!!!!! As we walked out, I turned to my husband and said, "See? God takes care of me!" He said, "Yes He does."

I still have to stay off my feet as much as possible. I've got a tight legging on my leg and have an appointment next Wednesday to see a specialist. I told my doctor that I had to be fixed by the 7th of June as my sister and I are going to visit her oldest daughter for a week. I haven't been on a vacation in 2 years. So they are working around my vacation date. Isn't that COOL! So, bottom line, I'm standing firmly on faith like I always do concerning myself. Where are my bananas!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

So here is an update on my foot that was the size of Texas! Most of the swelling is gone along with much of the pain. Thank You, Almighty God, Bless His Holy Name. <--- I got that from a Christian movie and it gives reverence when you speak the Name of God. I'm inclined to use this as well, and agree that people should hold the Holy Name of Almighty God in the highest esteem with humility.

Ahhhhhhhhhh...................went to the vein specialist! What fun! NOT! I now have to wear compression leggings....and they go up to the thigh! What I have is vein reflux. I too said "Huh?" What it is, in a nutshell, is that I have 2 enlarged veins, one in each leg that in each spot, the valve doesn't work correctly. Never heard of this. The blood in the veins go one way, until you have an enlarged spot, and the blood goes back as well as forward, causing swelling and pain. Because I'm on disability and have medicare, the insurance wants to start off with minimal treatment and work up to surgery, if necessary. So, I had to purchase compression thigh high hose for $43.00....and they don't come in black! Phooey! But, I will say that the ones I have make my legs look like they are beautifully tanned. I don't sleep in them and they are rather comfortable. They measure your legs to make sure they are somewhat comfortable. AND, I have to be careful as they can run like a stocking....but they're tough, too! This disease can turn into getting a blood clot. So, if this doesn't work, surgery can be done with a 98% success rate. That's good odds.:) It's in God's Hands, Bless His Holy Name. I'm not worried about it. He will take care of it either way! I just didn't know that veins had valves. Learn something new everyday!!!

P.S. I thought that 'i before e except after c' is the grammar rule! If that is so, why isn't vein spelled vien? Silly, but it does make sense!:?:
