Hey guys, just purchased an ijust s and noticed that it was very hot around the top of the battery. Is iy safe to charge? Anyone else had this problem?

When is it getting hot? If during operation what is build and power?

It gets hot whenever i charge it, there is a .3 ohm coil head in the tank
Getting warm when charging is normal.. getting hot is not. Could be a simple as dirty contacts. Could be the battery could be the charger. Is the battery built in? No.. try different battery after cleaning contact. how are you charging? What are you plugging the USB into and how many amps is it charging at? Could just be too high and fast a charge going on.

@Big Dripper there is a difference between warm and hot but warm while charging and discharging is normal. It is recommended to let batteries cool before charging for either built in or removable. If you can check the temperature that would be a good idea and I use a laser pointer infrared temperature sensor to check electronics. Not everyone has these so anything to get a semi accurate temperature reading will suffice.
I have the Ijust 2's (or at least had them before their switches died) and I don't remember them getting hot when charging.
Mine gets pretty hot as well. I figured its due to the charger. Switched to an old samsung charger which has an output of 0.7 amps does not even get warm now. Use 1a or lower output charger.
