Is anyone else having problems with reliability of the EVO parts?
I have had mine a Month, now the batteries seem to last less than 2 hours each (admittedly I am a heavy user) and I have just had a second atomizer die on me.
Intellicig customer service is good but they seem to have been swamped by demand.

Is anyone else having similar issues?

I haven't been in touch with Intellicig about it but the two 'new' batteries I have received have both been duds.....one of them went 'really' hot and died on my usb port but luckily the computer shut the power down to the port..... the other one 'sort' of works...but is much harder to draw on and cuts out far too easily ........luckily the original two batteries I had are still working reliably....albeit needing recharging every couple of hours but I do expect that when I am vaping most of the time.
From what people say on here Intellicig are more than happy to change dodgy parts...but I am not much of a one for complaining about things....I just like them to work ok and not have to complain.

6000 drags in a week?
I wasn't counting but I don't think that's the case. wouldn't that make me a 10 packets a day man.

Don't get me wrong I do love my EVO when its working but at present, even when I order a new one the day I get an atomizer, it won't last until I receive the next atomizer. I have had the evo approximately 1 month and have only had it working 2 weeks (I week for the first atomizer and 1 for the 2nd). Its a question of turnaround. I have 5 batteries so I don't mind 1.5 hours- 2 hours usage because unlike the DSE901 (with 1 battery life) the EVO battery recharges in 30 minutes.

I can't match the turnaround with the atomizers so its starting to annoy. (1 week on 1 week off)

I was alternating two atomizers for just over a month and they have both died so I guess that can only be considered as two weeks life for an atomizer for me. I am not as concerned about things breaking down as much as I am concerned over how much it's costing me...........I had really hoped it would be much cheaper than smoking ....not more expensive.

the other one 'sort' of works...but is much harder to draw on and cuts out far too easily
I'm having the same thing with some of my batteries and one in particular. I have several batteries and atomisers and keep alternating them, so it's not as if I'm wearing them out very quickly by using just one. Got them about 3 weeks ago. Mine's a white Evo with the Genie batteries.

They were great at first, but it now seems to be an on/off thing with them. They might work fine for a while, then become quite hard to draw on and giving out very little vapour and feels at times as if I'm sucking out just air even though the cart is full of liquid. I put them away for a while and then they seem OK again.

Also, I find the atomisers get quite hot quite quickly, but that might be because I like to vape puffs quickly one after the other, or it might be because I keep trying to get something out of it at the times nothing comes out it and it's getting temperamental. Not all of the batteries are like that, maybe just a couple. It's not the security cut-off thing either.

On the whole, the EVO batteries still last me ages before they need recharging. I just feel there's a significant drop in performance with some (not all) of them. I was beginning to think it was just me being a newbie to e-cigs and maybe not knowing how to use them properly, although I have been draining the atomisers and cleaning the threads of the batteries and so on.

I've also got a couple of DSE901s, one with a USB passthrough. Initially, I preferred the EVO, especially the way the battery lasts and charges up so fast especially with a USB charger (till I got the USB passthrough for the 901 :D). But now I'm finding the 901 easier to draw on and with more vapour. That kind of saddens me as I really like the EVO!

Even though evo parts are clearly different than basic 401 parts, I wonder if they r still interchangeable.

I have both and they are completely interchangeable. If it were not for the markings on the EVO atomizer, I could not tell anything on them apart. I marked my batteries so I could tell them apart because they act exactly the same. So far the only real advantage I see in the EVO is that the "new"style carts hold more liquid and last a bit longer. I have only had them about a month and all has been good with both reliability wise. I am not that heavy a "smoker" (was about 16 cigs a day) and still use my penstyle and KB some, so I may not have stressed the 401's enough to see a problem yet.

Just a suggestion for those finding the evo batteries are getting a weak charge: check the connections on both the battery and charger are clean. I thought one of my two chargers was dead, then looked at the connector and was amazed at how grubby it looked! I cleaned it, and the battery connector to be sure, and it worked again like magic.

Next to see whether this actually affects the charge the batteries get - my 2 black Atom batteries crapped out very quickly today. If it turns out they get get their lifespan back just from cleaning the connectors I'll be very happy!

when i first got my 2 black evos. neither of the batteries were charged. after a very quick 10 min usb charge. one battery ran for around 8 hours and the other just 2 min. john asked me to put the 2 min battery on the charger for 4 hours and it should kick it up to full operation. after charging the second battery now lasts for only 2 hours. i am sure john will replace it for me. i will charge it a few more times before i hit him up for a new one. john also sent me extra white evo atomizer with my order. thanks john.

i am a heavy vaper and the carts last me a very long time, however they dont provide me with enough vapor regularly. so i top my carts off with vapornine carolina tobacco ejiuce which tastes exactly like the evo juice. i get whopping vapor and throat hit for the first half of the cart. so i find myself refilling the carts with the carolina at night and top em off in the am before my day. and sometimes i will top off again before the cart dries up. the vapor nine bottle has a long thin needle like dropper that goes right down below the filter in the cart for great topping off. i find keeping the cig in my holder upside down keeps the juice in the cart and out of the atomier.

one huge problem with the evo is that any air movement over the blue led end of the battery turns it on. the first day i had in in the holder in my car with the windows down i found i was burning up the atomizer just from the wind. i need to find a clear plastic cap to cover the blue light end.

overall the evo is the most reliable consistant and convenient way to vape. prices are not too bad either. i have ordered some riskee yuice from puresmoker.com.

if anyone has any questions about maintaining and filling the evo you must check out the video posts from igetcha. he has got it down to a super science.

I must admit that no matter what problems I have had John C has come through with generous replacements.

I am learning that despite problems with communications form the company (due to being swamped) this does not mean they are ignoring you.

If you have reliability problems like I experienced just tell them and they will replace parts with no quibbling. I know because they have done it a number of times for me.

i looked at their website a while ago and it said an atomiser should last six months.

as if they have tested it for 6 months!!
The batteries only last for 200 recharges. I have visited the factory in china and all can be revealed as marketing crap!!!

The reason why some batteries are good and some are crap as the factory in china uses different suppliers for the battery components. Intellicig are no better than any other e-cig!!!
