Catfish replaced the 510 and added a ground spring.

Hey guys long time... If you nip 2 of the corners on the bottom plate of a negative Reo spring it'll fit in perfectly, I also had to widen the set screw hole on that plate. I also had success using a pro tank insulator and found that since we can't get a replacement for a new spring I've also converted a Reo gold leaf spring insulated on top and open to make contact with the delrin screwed in piece of the contact spring.... Basically press fit and bent up a lil..... to lessen pressure from button, * I also hacked Bic pen spring widened it and fit into the top part of the fire button... Also works perfectly it springs back nicely. It's definitely becoming a Frankenstein mod but she fires up and works daily! One good thing is it's pretty easy to work on WITH LIMITED SKILLS LOL.

Recall the magenet on the door was broken when I got my mod form Paul.

So I ordered both the R622CS-P and the R422CS-P from K&J Magnetics.
Neither matches the original Paul used.
The 3/8" R622CS is a little bigger diameter and the R422CS is a little smaller.

I have the R622CS in mine now and they work good, but the pushes the bottle cap a bit. I haven't tried the others yet,but I think they would work OK, just not hold as tight (about half the force, 2lbs vs 4lbs)

I can get pics if anyone is interested.

A different bottle/cap (a flat one instead) wouldn't have any issues.
(I think maybe one of the other mod makers did some flat caps that would fit)
Or maybe use the dropper insert (enlarged hole) instead of the cap.
Thinking I'd want to cut the top off the cap then to hold it on tighter.

No. MM was my first, and so far, only BF.

I have a CopperVape mod in transit, but it hasn't arrived.

I like the magnets I got from K&J, I just need to shorten the cap on the bottle.
Paul's magnets are just a little smaller than the 3/8" magnets.
See how the top of the cap is pushed to the left just a bit?
Pushes the whole bottle at an angle form there, but less than 1/8" at the bottom.

Just need it 1/4"-1/2" shorter. Then the tubing would pass the magnet and no deformation and the bottle would be vertical.

For completeness, here's a pic of the smaller (1/4") magnet in the mod.

But the hold is really weak. Adding spacers under the small magnets so they just touch improves the hold strength, but I don't have material to make long term spacers from. When I get home in Feb, I'll look for some washers.

Some comparison pics. Paul's magnet is in the middle.

Glad that all got sorted.

So, thoughts post modification? Fit the bill?

Looks odd with that skinny atty. ;)
Yep.

Vapocalypse ready for the wife.

Yeah, the Chalice III does it no justice with its dimensions.

But the drip tip from it looks killer on the gunmetal MyMod affixed to a SS Nuppin'.

She's working on coiling that up now.

i broke one of the case countersunk magnets on the mymod. in case anyone is interested, i found acceptable replacements at magnet4sale (cms magnets) with very reasonable prices AND shipping. the magnets are very strong and the door has no gap when seated. they also fit well with the existing screws. i am using a vapage vmod bottles. i got the following in equal amounts in north and south pole and replaced both magnets on the case.

n42 3/8"x1/8" with #4counter sink.

Those are the same as the larger pair from K&J.

No spacer need for them either.
But they would have the same interference issue with the original bottle.

$0.50 for the pair v/s $1.17 @ K&J.
1st Class mail $4 v/s $5
Priority $7.35 vs $7

So while a little cheaper, less than $1 difference for Priority Mail.
Either way, ordering just a few small magnets has high shipping costs v/s product cost. That's why I ordered more than just the magnets for the mod.

For sure I'll keep them in mind for future stuff though.
I like look K&J's pushpins/thumbtacks better than what CMS offers.
