I want to say "unbelievable"! But it really isn't anymore, is it? They're not going to win with science so what do they have? Seems like it's going to be a war of attrition in which they try to baffle us with :censored:, while we have no choice but to clean up the stinking piles as they make them.

Nice takedown, though, Smokey!

That letter to the president is just embarrassing. And I agree, obviously lying by omission. Great response SJ. My response to the letter would be:

I’m fifty-cough years old. I smoked for 43 years and desperately wanted to quit for at least 40 of those years. I tried most of the FDA approved cessation products. All were completely ineffective and many caused bad to severe side effects. It wasn’t easy but I was able to quit smoking by vaping. My current favorite flavor is watermelon bubblegum followed by blackberry and vanilla cupcake. For the first time in my life I am confident I will never smoke again and haven’t in over two years. I respectfully ask you to put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Please think of the children, and the rest of us, and ride a bike, walk, or use public transportation when you commute to work.

to me, it still comes back to, the kids I've seen who smoke cigarettes are starting to change over to vapes, not because of the sweet flavours but because it's better than the alternative. Kids will always find a way to get alcohol, drugs, and tobacco no matter what the government does.

Holy he11.

I've no respect left in general for doctors. And I dislike "associations". Hate politicians.
Can't really explain how I feel about political associations of doctors.

Well, as the title says, is it?

I thought it was so bad, I was compelled to write exactly why. They've all gone mad.

Here's the letter and here's the article.

The problem is, when you contradict the alphabet PH groups who are trying to "protect the children" you look like a raving lunatic.

Excellently thought out and worded response though, I've shared it to my mediocre social media circle.

Couldn't agree more. It's absolutely a horrible position to be in - the only way I can find to phrase (without seeming a lunatic) is in terms of a moral panic - and pointing out the actual lies of commission and omission that are present.

The thing that urks me more than anything is cigars and ecigs already have age restrictions of at least 18 now. With that said, some of the most immoral people are in government and these organizations want them (govenrment) to tell the world how to parent now. Geez, this "think of the children" garbage is rediculous.

The saddest part of this whole "anti-vaping" campaign is it really has nothing to do with the health of anyone, or whether the children are safe, or any other catch phrase that perks up the ears of the uneducated masses. Smoking is big money for all sides of the argument, which is why this fight seems hopeless, not that anyone should give up, but getting attacked from the perceived "good guys" on the BP side, while also fighting off the axis of evil that is BT....... is a daunting task.

Everyone speaking out against vaping has an agenda that has everything to do with money, and next to nothing to do with health concerns. We are hanging our hopes that common sense will prevail, but come on, we all know nothing in government is done simply based on common sense. The **** is going to hit the fan, hopefully we can minimize the amount at least by not just rolling over.

As long as people believe there is something in e-cigs to "protect" the children from, it will never be enough. The glANTZ man himself has stated as much. To them, age restrictions are only the first step, the next are banning advertisement, flavors, and taxing the product so much that it is unaffordable for teens to purchase. So what if that means that adults can't/won't have access either.

I kind of think they use advertisment as a crutch as well. I said that cause the only ads I see are from BT products. Never see much advertising for ecigs outside of one billboard that was up for a month for a local vape shop. All the other ads I've seen are on sites that are dedicated to vaping. Might be different in other areas though. The flavor argument drives me crazy as well because if it wern't for funky flavors, I would still be smoking.
