This is the strongest magnet in my house. Advertised as 50 lb. pull. I use it to hold our attic stairway door closed. No idea, really, if it would pull the JAC magnet out.

Update: I tried several different magnets to get the loose magnet out of the mod. No luck. If JAC does send a couple of replacement magnets, then I'll try, somehow, to remove the loose one. If they don't send or I cannot remove the existing magnet, then I guess I'll send the mod back to JAC.

I finally did it. I knew it was there but I ignored it as best I could, and is getting pretty good at pretending it didn't exist.
Then the bubble appeared. Tiny, right along the edge, but it was enough to break my willpower, and enough to hook a fingernail under. So long, protective film. Job well done.
