How bout a pic of said 510 so as we might possibly diagnose whether it has the screw in it or not?
newp what everyone else said.....clockwise (to the left) lowers it. I did notice with my metal grand, I have to turn it out a full turn for most attys to fire. With the derringer about 1.5 turns since the derringer pin is too far up in the threads. When I got the woodvil, was so excited, didn't even think about adjusting the 510, screwed an atty on, it fired right up.....then it hit me.......hey wait, I didn't adjust this! Kewl. lol But mine all sit flush enough for me. I'm like rule I think it was, I prefer a maybe 1 mm gapJust so I'm clear when you say you raised the 510 you used the wench counter clockwise to raise it...right?
Ok, hope this isn't too much a hijack, and feel free to pm me, but you and spydro seem to really like this feature, I love the lip on the V1, cuz I know I won't push it too far down on accident and shorting it. I can see the benefit possibly of reducing the chamber, but it's got such great flavor I don't really feel the need to do that, and I like the safety aspect of having the lip. Is there something else I'm not thinking of that makes it better without the lip? Can't afford any more nuppins right now, but am hoping I can get another V1 at some point, but am wondering if there's another reason I should look at the V2 (or possibly V3??? hope hope) if he does them with no lip, if he even does them. That's another thing that's cool about the V2 Nuppins. There's no shoulder on the base. So, you can reduce the chamber even more by raising the 510 pin on the Reo, and pushing the cap on the Nuppin down further.
couldn't tell from the pic, but hopefully others will be able to. Kinda looks like it might be gone, but not sure. I was gonna say the same thing. Hope it's just that, cuz Rob has a buncha those grub screws. Sorry you've had so many issues with this one. It's my only woodvil ever so nothing to compare it to, but I love it.Well after 25-30 turns clockwise no change in the depth so I think its broken

Here ya go Unsure. Apologies for the juice in the well I sopped up as much as I could for a quick pic ... it's hard to tell on your pic but it does seem like you have lost the grub
Gil, the inside of that screw is shaped like a allen wrench six sides. You should not see a round shape in the very center. If you must, use a magnifying glass and look at the very inside hole. It should be shaped like the six side allen wrench.
I believe it will work as long as the center pin of the atty makes contact. The grub is meant to be an extension to the actual positive contact in the well.
if it's just the grub screw, rob will pop one in an envelope to you and you screw it inTime to visit the spa.
kewl! Thanks everyone. Sent a email & PM to Rob. Maybe if read in time he can included in my new spring order.![]()
Your all set Gil I added a grub screw to your order
