Just received email from Kanger regarding the Pro Tank 2.
What's been updated on Kanger Protank-2
    1: Stronger base
    2: Glass can be replaced
    3: Coils work with Protank-1 and Mini-protank
    4: Glue-free
5: Both Plastic Tip and Steel tip in the package
Says they are shipping the end of July

Seems this is their reply to the many other tanks that popped up recently that has been titled "protank killers"
It's a good move from Kanger, tho i've never had any troubles with my protanks so i'm not gonna jump on it asap :p

Got the same message..... It's a shame the pictures on the website are so dark that you can't actually see it !
Have to agree with LAP on this. Why bother 'upgrading' when the existing product is doing the job. Saying that, i will try them as soon as they're available for around $6-8.

Replaceable drip tips sounds great. Replaceable glass will save some money (I've lost two to drops). Love the improvements in theory. Potential for leaking increased by removable glass, so I'll have it leaking pretty quick (expert). Me likeee! Thanks for sharing. I'm going to check these out right now! Vape On!

    Edit: Ok, found it:

My main dislike of the original protank was the unchangeable driptip...now for some comparisons between v2 and the puritank

From that video Few noticeable things...

    1) Looks Taller with a standard drip tip (Bet its nice with a mini tip) :p
    2) Very cool that the coils are compatible with the original Pro Tank
    3) We wait for PBusardo Review..........................

You have to use a host like imageshack or photobucket to get full size photos

Pre-order info for those interested. However, I'm concerned with the higher potential for leaks as well ...

Awesome. Love my KPT v1.0 and this one looks like it will be about the same $ maybe even a bit less considering that preorder has it at $14.99, plus you get both a metal and a plastic drip tip. Very nice.

Well I will be on the lookout for these...now they are coming out with the protank mini they need to make that with a replaceable drip tip as well. I love the protank just not that metal tip. But besides being able to take it totally apart isn't this the same as the Puritank?

wow, looks like they didnt just hit the nail on the head, they curb stomped it. very nice
although there is the concern of leaking.
as far as changing heads midway or at full tank, i see no reason why it shouldnt be possible.

Looks pretty sweet. I do wish they would allow the top to come off to allow refilling from the top. Kinda like a nova but bottom coiled.

All you need is to hold the bottom cap and twist the base off to refill. However, it appears that both the bottom cap and base are loosened by twisting in the same counter-clockwise direction, so you do run the risk of accidentally taking both the base along with the bottom cap off altogether if not careful.
