I didn't have a chance to go home and try this out yet... But, it really look like the opening on the ego cone is too big for a standard 510 drip tip... Anyone experience this problem or found a solution?

Nope.
The AGA-T tank is the same outside dim as the ProTank. The ProTank is stepped down to fit inside the top & bottom.

After I bought a few "real" drippers I started using the ego cone/beauty ring as stands for my tanks while not in use.

I have a fat rubber tip from some older cartomizer that started leaking - I put it to good use with this DIY drip tip idea - it is a snug fit too with one round of tape added. This worked on my Protank base but works just as well on my Kanger T-3 base which is easy to find in stock.

I haven't really dripped much in a year, but this thread provided a "light bulb moment" What I came up with uses 4 parts.


Protank /w single 4 turn coil. Protank beauty ring. modified 510-ego adapter and a mouth piece from a dual coil mega Ego carto.
I cut/ground of the 510 part of the adapter (not real pretty).


Thread the adapter about two threads into the top of the ring...


Remove the vent tube - seal from the PT head and screw the beauty ring on to the PT base (right over the coil) ... it will tighten up the adapter too. the adapter creates kind of a chamber...


Drip 3-4 drops pop on the mouth piece and vape!


I haven't notice much leaking. First pull after loading gurgles a tiny bit... but the draw is good. I think I will use this to test juice next time instead of my trusty 306. Not bad for stuff just lying around...(talk about a cheap RBA)

Broke my protank this morning and i found this thread tonight. My protank will get a second life.

I didn't have a drip it so i reused the protank tip and used some clear boxtape to connect it to the beauty ring. If only i could find my broke bottom i would of used that now i just have to stuff something in the bottom vent and drill a side air hole.

Could you use a protank as is with an empty tank to drip? Unless someone thinks it would be a bad idea I think I'll try it after my next cleaning.

i rebuild these with cotton and without flavor wicks and they work better than stock coils.


to the OP fantastic idea and creativity on your part. i will have to try this. it may be possible to sand/file down the coil tube so a stock protank drip tip fits on.
