So it finally happened. My first leakage. After about a week of use one of my CE5 clearomizer had a leak. I notice as I was vaping I wasn't getting a real good drag and there was very little vapor. So I unscrewed the clearomizer from the battery and saw there was a little leakage of juice on top of my battery. Also there was leakage on the bottom base of the clearomizer. So I took apart the clearomizer and cleaned it. After the parts were washed and dried I was trying to find where the leak is coming from. Everything looked fine except where the base and the actual atty connects. Seems like the little pipe inside the base, it connects to the hole of the atty was off centered? I took a picture of what I was talking about. Not sure if I can post images yet but it will be at the bottom. Not sure if that was the case of the leakage but has anyone else have leakage with the CE5 clearomizer?

The center pipe is what I was talking about here. It was off centered and might of not fully connected to the hole at the bottom of the atty not sure. Anyways, not sure if there is a fix but i took a pencil and tried to align it to the middle at best as I could. It started to vape normal again but after a half day of vaping, same thing happened. Took it apart cleaned it etc, the pipe in the base was off centered again. Anyone know of a fix or what is causing this? Or should I get some other clearomizers? Any suggestions on clearomizers with little leak problems?

The center pipe / air tube is held in place with a rubber grommet. Sometimes it can get mashed and deformed a bit, at which time it might be time to replace it.

It's possible, too, that after cleaning you didn't get the coil head fully tight, which can cause juice to get around it's seal and down the tube.

Overfilling can allow the wick to draw too much juice, and the excess then drains down the air tube.

Kangers and Vivis get good reviews, although I haven't used any Kangers, and the one Vivi I tried had a worse leaking problem than any CE5 in my kit.

A smaller clearo, at just under 1 ml capacity, is the Vivi Nano, and it works well.

Or go to a carto tank.

I think I might be overfilling it. I filled the clearomizer right at the 1.6 ml line right under the rubber piece that sits above the wick. It was fine when I was vaping with medium to low juice left but once I filled it back up with some juice to that 1.6 ml line, after a few vapes it leaked again. It was vaping fine with no leaks when I was under 1.2 ml line. Gonna try it a few more times going under that line and see how it goes. Probably gonna order a Kanger T3 and a Vivi clearo next week and give it a whirl. Thanks for the tips and suggestions!

Frenzy did that stop the leaking? I just had the same thing happen, only noticed as my boyfriend gave me his ego battery that hed been vaping mint with, changed the clearo to a different (good) one with my usual flavour in that Id been vaping all day, and it suddenly had a minty taste, that made no sense to me til I unscrewed it and saw drops & smelt the mint liquid in the battery. Totally ruined my vape :glare:

The clearomizer is an "unofficial" one bought at a very professional looking and apparently reputable store, price was good so I bought 2 to try, thankgod I didnt buy more but Im still gutted at the waste. If keeping the fills low stops the leaking though then I wont have to bin them at least.
I never overfill mine & usually keep them upright, but I think the boyf did, and he left it on its side too (he left it like that on the sofa! yes I told him off, who wants a minty sofa) so that could totally explain it. I dont wanna risk doing damage to the battery, so not sure whether to try this or bin them....
