I would suggest 7 wraps of 28 gauge wire on a 2.5mm jig. The deck is small so you will want a small compact coil. 7 wraps should get ya real close to 1 ohm.

That's very good to know. I had no idea. I am planning to get kanthal in 24, 26 & 28 and a tool kit for building during the Labor Day sales. If the kit I buy does not have a 2.5 mm jig, I'll get one separately.

What regulated mod(s) do you use and what wattage do you typically vape at? If you are only vaping around 20 - 25 watts the 24 gauge wire won't do you much good (it will take a long time to heat up), and conversely, if you vape at 60+ watts the 28 gauge wire won't work well either unless you use a twisted wire dual coil build.
