We have brought in a new ruling that the maximum nicotine strength for retail transactions on ECF is now 36mg.
This is because:
- there is an increased risk of injury due to spillage on the skin, or to children, with stronger eliquids.
- there are regulations for shipping toxic substances such as nicotine and shippers may need a license.
- we need to avoid being seen to encourage sales of materials that may be harmful to the unskilled.
It means that in public suppliers' forums no mention can be made of nic liquids stronger than this, from now on.
This does not affect commercial deals in private supplier forums because the trade need to have stronger liquids for bulk mixing. It may be wise to investigate postal restrictions or private shippers regulations.
It does not affect what suppliers have on their own sites as we cannot control the content of other sites.

Allowed:
"You can buy eliquid of 24mg and 36mg strength at AceVapes.com"
"You can buy high-strength eliquids at AceVapes.com"
Not allowed:
"You can buy eliquid stronger than 36mg at AceVapes.com"
"You can buy 48mg nicotine eliquid at AceVapes.com"
"You can buy pure nicotine liquid at AceVapes.com"
Moderators have instructions to delete references to over-strength liquids offered by suppliers except in private trade forums.
Public discussion
This does not affect discussion of high-strength liquids or recipes for example - it is a restriction on what can be offered for sale through ECF by Suppliers.
Classifieds
This also does not, at present, affect the Classifieds because private sales are not seen as something that we should be trying to control (or are even in a position to control).
Vendors' websites
This has no relevance to what is offered on suppliers' sites - only what is promoted on ECF.
