Mech mod fire button at ground. Need to be amperage rated ??

I would like to replace the fire button/switch on a Gizmo mechanical mod with a clicky tactile switch. The mod is aluminum and the 510 connector is grounded to this 'frame'. The fire button just connects NEG battery post to the frame to complete circuit and fire the atomizer.Single 18650, and I only vape MTL nothing close to sub-ohm.

Since this is on the ground side, would a tiny tactile switch with low amperage rating work?

The switch is a component of a series circuit. It will need to be rated at or above the max current you will ever see. Unless you want it to act as a fuse, I'd not recommend any "low amperage rating" switch.
