I'll chime in. Army guy here....still on active duty....joined in '88 and starting to see the light at the end of this tunnel. :w00t:

Although I've TDY'd, TCS'd, PCS'd, and deployed all over the world, I've spent the majority of my career stationed at Ft Bragg, NC and if nothing else, always know that I will be coming right back here. (if you hadn't heard, Ft Bragg is the center of the Army universe! :p)
Are you a long-lost younger brother?

Joined the Army in '84, and spent the last 17 years at Ft. Bragg in 3d SFG before retiring in '07. I could list some of the places I've been, but then I'd have to...

OMG is that a zombie!?!

Nice thread, I was in the Air Force :2cool:. 1W051 (Weather) :matrix:.

Basic in Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas :|.

Tech School at Keesler AFB, Biloxi, Mississippi. Before Katrina, the casinos were fun .

Then Sembach AB, Germany. Oh, do I know K-Town like the back of my hand . The owners of a few bars still remember me :headbang:.

It was an experience I will cherish. The military had become, to me, the kinder gentler pc military was not like my fathers military . Everything was paperwork...But I guess its all about which job you have. Still stay in touch with good friends stationed or seperated living all over through Facebook :).

Wow DW66!! You and your wife are a truly impressive couple and a rarity these days! Bless you two for all your service (combined!) and that you've stayed together so long! :headbang::thumbs:

USMC 4 years, 93 to 97. MCRD San Diego for boot, Camp Pendleton for MCT, Vallejo CA (Mare Island) for Tech school, then Beaufort, SC (near PI and about 30 miles north of Savannah) for my last year and a half at MALS 31. Loved Savannah, some of my favorite memories!
