I'm starting to think i'm an odd one out around here :) Whilst i do vape DTL occassionally, although it's a conscious choice to, i usually use a MTL technique on everything i own or try. When i vape without thinking about it i instinctively MTL.

I am quite happy MTLing hardware designed for DTL people in a configuration they would be happy with i.e. air flow wide open on high watts and low ohms. I am also happy using MTL specific devices which can't be used for DTL.

Is this unique or are there others out there MTL on anything available.

I'm not alone then, phew! :)

I like a nice, warm, dense but airy draw but also if i'm in the mood a short, sharp, tight draw. In fact i'm happy on most devices i've tried as long i find a juice that works in them for me.

One of my local vape shops can't get their head around MTL on something like a TFV8 or Crown. The other one doesn't bat an eyelid.

My max AF I believe would be the Nautilus wide open. What would match that in a DL tank? Will it need anything modded? Or just a mtl dt and the lowest af setting?

I prefer a large capacity tank and non-Smok. Top fill would be awesome.

EDit- with factory coils

I doubt you could match a nautilus draw on a sub ohm tank but i haven't tried. I'm sure an expert will come along with a way though. I've just tried the minimum air flow on my Crown II with a 0.5 ohm coil and it's still pretty airy. It is top fill though.

V2 Aromamiser , you can use pre made simple SS coils ,
or you can diy your own its an older tank but still a great under rated one.
Due to the Steam Crave Supreme being released soon after. Which is a great open draw RDTA.
V2 Aromamiser Coils are only 2.5 usd on fast tech ,s,s dual or single coils , pre wicked , ect,
Other than that Nautilus great option ,
Or Diy , hussar rta Coppervapes version single coil deck .
Or Kayfun,
SRv4 with mtl posative post nano kit ,
Taifun GTv3 ,
Theres quite a few Diy ones , but Nautilus 5ml mini 2ml or v2 are great option s for pre made ,

The OP is looking for a mtl vape experience. An Aromamizer would be a poor fit for that type of use.

Its all in the Airflow , Wasnt on about the larger dual coil versions V1 V2 , single coil pre made can do MTL
when airflow is turned down its more restrictive than the newer ones ,
it is possible ,

But the Aspire nautilus line is probably the best pre made coil version available for a decent low price , compared to others. (Price wise)
The SRv4 has MTL nano kit , 29usd, heres deck and Reduced airflow pins for SRv4 my spare one,

Also ,
Kayfun v4 v5 , v3 plus

Even Taifuns can do MTL but its airflow dependent ,

Hussar RTA ,and Reduced airflow pins for deck

All these can be further restricted by moving the coil build closer to the deck Airflow too , or further away for more Airflow with larger pin ,

Are there adapters for the dt's to go mtl?
Its a tighter airflow combined with a spit back drip tip these results in a restricted airflow , on the Aromamiser ,

For DIY builds where you make your own or buy pre rolled coils ,the SRv4 RTA ,with nano kit 29usd has a very small airflow pin on the deck you can change it for more DTL airflow pin .

Also the Hussar RTA , has the same thing DIY , and a selection of MTL and Reduced airflow pins , i own all these , So im speaking from experience and usage ,

But sold my Nautilus tanks since i moved away from pre made coils and kept with DIY due to recent regulations , DIY i can keep my tanks going , for less costs ,

I've found that I can't get a good MTL from a tank designed for DTL.
There's usually a way around the problem of airflow (electrical tape etc) but every one I have tried leaked like crazy and spat liquid into my mouth.
I put this down to the fact that the liquid flow is too high because it's designed to go with a high air flow.

I'm quite happy vaping away MTL a setup anyone else could DTL hit. I really don't how tight or loose the airflow is as long as i can feel the vapor in my lungs. I used to like a strong throat hit but these days i don't mind if there isn't any.

Something like a Nautilus tank with high PG, High nicotine juice using 1+ ohm coil gives me a nice throat hit using whatever air hole i have it on.

Something like a TFV8 using high VG, low nicotine on a sub ohm coil with the airflow wide open has little throat hit but gives a nice warm lung full feeling.

Something like a Toptank on high VG, low nicotine juice using a 0.5ohm coil gives me something in between the top two.

As i said i can MTL any setup and enjoy it for what it is and i don't really try and change it
