Since getting a Reo Grand I now have to many non bottom fed atty's. First up for conversion is a clone Plume Veil.

Set up my Dremel work station and vised the atty base up side down and chucked up a 1/16 drill. Alligned the bit to as close to the center of the copper pin and estimated the depth to just a hair above the base. Once drilled, the attybase was placed on its side and slightly angled. The drill was stopped when it was felt to reach the new channel. Flipped the atty and did the same to the other side of the positive post.

Checked to make sure there was no short from my three way drilling. checked for good juice flow and return and was super satisfied. Wrapped up a couple of coils which came to a net of 0.7 ohms and started to vape. What a great bottom feeder this turned into.

I guess I will try to do some more conversions. Was lucky the positive post was copper or maybe brass,, not sure how well my setup will work on a stainless center.pin.

Pictures for the next one!
