okay so i have plenty of parallel unregulated boxes and iv got no problem building low resistance coils, but i recently ordered my first series box and im having some trouble coming up with any kind of build thats over .4 that will fit in an rda other than 26 gauge kanthal. can anyone suggest anything?

That's all I've built with series. 26 or 24 g, 12-14 wraps, 3 mm ID comes to .7-.8 ohms.
For a single coil 3mm 26g, you need 3+wraps
3mm dual coil =6+wraps (each coil)
Single coil 2mm 5+wraps
Dual coil 2mm 9+wraps (each coil)
3mm dual coil =6+wraps (each coil)
Single coil 2mm 5+wraps
Dual coil 2mm 9+wraps (each coil)
Is there a chart somewhere to look at that has gauge of wire, number of wraps and how big the diameter of the coil should be for certain ohms? Or am I just dreaming LOL

Its called "coiltoy" if you google it, you will see a simple calculator for coil building.Is there a chart somewhere to look at that has gauge of wire, number of wraps and how big the diameter of the coil should be for certain ohms? Or am I just dreaming LOL
Can't help you much with the build however on the calculator front there is also steam engine which has quite a few useful calculators and tools. Slightly less straight forward compared to the coil toy one but has other things that can be pretty handy from time to time Steam Engine main page
a dual 24 gauge kathal at 12 wraps around a 3 mm is usually my go to. however, a single fused clapton made with all kanthal will work great too using 36 over 26, 6 wraps around a 3 mm
