You guys are the best!! Seriously, way more helpful than the 19-year-old stoners at my local shop where I bought it. : )

All of that makes sense to me. Much to learn, I still have.

I think I am sucking on it too much too hard to get the burn, like a cigarette, because that's what I'm used to. Gonna try and turn the volt up a tiny bit and draw slower, give it a charge, and just keep cleaning it out every day if I'm still getting some small leakage onto the battery while I learn how to 'perfect' my vaping with this piece. Thanks again so much!

As someone else said, leakage onto the battery is normal for a lot of tanks. Remember to clean the battery with a paper towel before charging the battery.
I recently purchased 2 Aspire Nautilus Mini tanks and don't have the leakage problem anymore. My batteries stay clean, no leaking. Love the Nautilus tanks.

Derp I didn't mean tank, I meant battery! That one you linked me to.

haha, kinda figured that's what ya meant

that's great ! you're gonna be very happy with it

I’ve had mine going on appx 2 months (1600)
I think it is a super great battery (kanger quality)
which did you get ? (1300 or 1600) / color ?
(hope it is same as RBC tanks);)
- - -
•Variable Wattage - 3.0 to 15.0 Watts (watts only)
•Full readout Display - Shows Resistance, Wattage, and Battery Power Remaining
•charges with USB cable (also passthrough function) (comes with a short USB cable)
•flush mount 510 threads w/ removable eGo/510 Connector

- - -
so there is your OHMs meter, but I still suggest a stand alone so not to
wear out or damage your iPOW...

do you have (need to get back up) an A/C USB wall adapter? / (extra cords)

- Cube Wall Adapter 1000mA - Chargers, Wall Adapters - Accessories

I say all this, not to spend money, but to BE SURE you can vape (and not buy a pack)
if/when trouble occurs

your iPOW goes bad ???

then you go to your Spinner and can't find your eGo charge cord (or it's broke)

so you go buy a pack because you're in need of nic

scout out where to buy the cig-a-likes IN CASE OF EMERGENCY (instead of cigs)

blu/fin/white cloud/mistic/ etc

once you get a few things in stock/on hand, the "big spend"
should be about over - other than juice

if you can restrain yourself from the unbelievable pull of, the Hobby (wants everything) :D

good luck

That blows my mind. How does it even WORK? Like, how does it do what it does?

Ohms meter - remember when those ‘mini’ Christmas tree lights came out (way back)
and if one went out, they all went dead (broken curcuit)

_____i_____i_____--_____i_____i_____i_____

kinda what the Ohms meter does, it measures across the ” +” & “ -
of your coil, and tells you what the resistance is (or none if it is shorted)
- - -
resistance is measured by length of wire (not wraps)
if you had a foot of wire, that’s the resistance...
whether you wrap it around a broom handle or a straw
it’s still a foot of wire

eg:
12 wraps around broom stick - or,
36 wraps around a straw
(still used a foot of wire)

- Round Ohm & Battery Meter

bonus: this is also a Great www site to be familiar with
CS and items in stock, prices are very good
(sorry, be strong, show restraint)

Haha, stop getting me so into this!! I must say, I felt very proud of myself when I pulled out my cotton yarn last night and played around with that single coil. I was like, 'LOOK WHAT I DID!!!' Yeah, I did my spending for the month last night. Gonna stick with it, buy some disposables for back up (I'm pretty sure my gas stations sells crappy ones). The next 'hard' part is gonna be taking this thing to work. I can't wait to get all the questions about what the hell I'm putting together before I go out to my smoke break. Can't leave it in the car, it's about 10 degrees here right now.

Thank you for explaining this to me. Following that video, I wrapped the wick 5 times, as close as I could get. But I wondered, 'What happens if I wrap it 8 times? Or 4 times?'

I've spent about $50 so far, not including the $60 the bf spent on the original set up. But I'm looking at it this way: I spend $50 A WEEK on cigarettes, so I think it's very worth the initial cost.

Oh, and I ordered the 1600.

no need to buy disposables, just be AWARE who has what,
so if the need arises you know what/where to buy…
--
by all rights, you’re NOT SMOKING, no need to GO OUT
BUT if it is Co. policy, then that’s what it is…
(wife sneaks in bathrm stall, stealth vapes, nobody ever knows)

- Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

if you look at this, it will tell you what ‘wraps’ do (how many)
in the results box on right…
I normally choose / round-32ga-1.8Ω-5/64” - - 5 wraps

--

best way to do it, cigs burnt up & "all gone"

--

you're a smart vapor`er already
a couple bucks to get the bigger 1600 - IS SMART !

I have a boss at work who smokes, and felt comfortable enough with her to ask about vaping. So on my 'normal' days, going out to my car to vape/smoke is no biggie. I look forward to getting away from the horde of retail customers and listening to some npr. But on my third shift, they have to lock down the store. The good news here is that I work with all women, and I have no doubt I could take my vape into the men's restroom and take a few drags on my lunch break. Especially because I'm still smoking the tobacco stuff, there's no real sweet or strong odor left over.

Got my Ipow2 in the mail today! Ok, now what's this 'adapter' thing for?

I GOT IT, lol. Took me a minute. THIS THING IS AMAZING.
You were so right, Puf. This tank with this battery is soooo much better than what I was using.
It's a lot smoother, no throat burn, no leakage, and cheap.

Hey GREAT !

purtty fancy , heh ? :D

so charge up the old one, so when you wear the new down

you'll be ready :)
