I sure hope Ohio is done with snow (knock on wood) With the warmer weather and snow comes the yearly dread of yard work. I guess I don't mind it that much but I'm feeling forced this year. My new neighbors have already put up a new wooden playset. They have already been pulling up shrubs and the yard is just looking good. Well that puts the pressure on me to get moving. That will probably be what I will be doing this weekend...yay me

Are there any quick tip any of you use? I have a small flower bed in front of my porch we usually try to buy Scotts Red mulch it seems to not fade as quickly. This spot gets a lot of shade from our porch hang over and a large tree. Are there any colorful flowers that do well in the shade?

Any other ideas or pics of your yard you would like to share?

Well I am soooo sad to say that we had 70 degree weather Sunday but it is now Tuesday and there is snow all over the ground. This stinks!!!!

Today is definitely an "April Showers" kind of day but at least we have not had the very nasty Spring weather some other areas have been having. Come on "May Flowers".

I'm trying to get my roof redone and the weather is no cooperating at all. One nice day the roof was torn off and then rain rain rain!!! Sunday half the roof was done and now rain rain rain!!!

I would recommend using Cedar Mulch if it is up against your house or any wood structure! It will help keep bugs out!
