I miss my Vicks Formula 44, strictly for medicinal use. And I can't find it anymore.
Yup, those meds were awesome for their intended purpose. I could actually work while sick on those. I lived in an area that had a bad illicit substance use and manufacture problem, and we were some of the first to restrict it's use that I know of.

KY has made it nearly impossible for us that need it to get Hydrocodone. So I take a couple of grams of Naproxin a day and am destroying my liver. Ohh well.

Last visit to doctor was kind like this.
Doctor: You liver tests are horrible, do you take anything that might be cuasing that?
Me: I take about 2 grams of Naproxin for pain with my degenerative disc disease.
Doctor: Stop taking it it will kill you.
Me: Well give me pain pills again that are more effective.
Doctor: I can't do that it is against the law here.
Me: Well I will just die.

I've seen the documentaries on that. You can still buy them but you have to take a card off the shelf and give them your ID to be logged for tracking purposes. Now that is truly a case of the few ruining it for the many. Unlike this issue cause that crap kills people.

Same here I can't get it for my slipped discs without a specialists approval, luckily acupuncture works wonders and has no side effects on my physiology other than relieving the pain.

Absolutely true, and I don't think that will ever change -- I'm 54 today, and smoked for 39 years. That's 72.22% of my entire life. I have no ambition to ever be free of it, because I know that quitting vaping means just one thing: returning to smoking. But that's alright; I'm not inhaling 4000 toxic chemicals with every puff of 20+ cigarettes a day.

Andria

And you're not feeding money to those wretches from the tobacco companies, so that also.

Well at least until the FDA takes over. But then, you know, Corporations did pay for everyone you all elected last november. All hail citizens united.

The war on drugs has had some not so great consequences. I wonder if anyone has noticed that the areas that have drug problems are those that Have job problems.... ugh. I'm glad I don't live there anymore.

That's how it went for me until I looked to non-traditional means to help. Not saying it works for everyone but it sure has helped me.

Tried all that and a few thousand dollars later no better. I have great big novacane patches to wear too. they do help for a bit.
If you only take the pills for the pain as needed there is no addiction.
If you take them in large doses for entertainment and do not need them there is addiction.

Dump asses in the goverment legislating medicine.

I hear ya my pain isn't so bad as long as I limit my activities that aggravates it so I guess it would be called situational. But after a day crawling around under my car I sure wish I could have what they used to give me for it. Which in its own way sucks cause basically they have decided with regulation when and what I can do when I feel like it and not be in crippling pain cause some jack wad thinks it's fun to eat a handful of them.

My father in law has severe back issues, to the point he might become Unable to walk. Some of the stuff they have prescribed him over the last few years blows my mind. They gave him pretty damn strong meds for the first 6 months after the accident then wanted to "prevent a dependency" so they switched him to non opiates. He's in constant pain and kinda hates life.

yeah Vaping is VERY addictive It got me off of cigs when I figured that gigs would shorten my painful life.
Yep I am always in pain, it only varies in intensity.

He managed to get off the cigs in 2012 using a knock off ego and evod. I'm glad he did. IMO it's only an addiction if it's harming you. We don't know if it's 100% safe, but it's definitely safer than recommending smoking.

Yeah, but I was not concerned about extending my life. That is why I say it is very addictive.

The only thing I do agree with (sort of) is people vaping to get a buzz is ridiculous. There's plenty of other stuff that has seen sweeping legalization that do a better job. [emoji14]
Yea, but then other thing says sure. It can be even it it never had to be since I believe otherwise anyways[emoji6]

Same for Advil Cold & Sinus. I told the pharmacist I felt like I were involved in some kind of drug deal. "Oh no, she sez, "Drug deals don't require ID". She was right - I guess.
