(noob) home made RDA

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone has made an rda before. I don't actually own one so I am only going off the pics on the internet. If so, would you please tell me what you did to insulate the active post? I was thinking of turning a piece of nylon which i would fit to the post and body with an interference fit.

By the way I am going to fit it to a mechanical mod which I am about to build. My technical background is a mechanical fitter but I have had minimal machining experience, but enough to get by.

I don't think nylon will hold up to the heat, Delrin would be a better choice.

peek is the most heat resistant and readily available from the same sources that supply nylon and delrin . (msc , mcmaster carr)
