Like several states this year, North Dakota is considering bills to ban sales of e-cigarettes to minors. One of these bills, HB 1186, has some problems that need to be addressed, including provisions that would severely limit online sales of vapor products and deceptively define smoke-free vapor products as “electronic smoking devices Given the predominantly rural environment of North Dakota, this would likely restrict access to these smoke-free products for tens of thousands of residents.

Of course, this bill is being promoted as a means to protect children but, in reality, it will only protect combustible cigarettes which are readily available in thousands of locations throughout the state.

Please take action NOW to urge North Dakota lawmakers to amend HB 1186
