Philosophically speaking, we find our balance in life by knowing when we need to walk alone, and when we need someone to walk along with us :)

Well said. I couldn't have put it better myself :)

You are a truly remarkable, amazing person. Don't let anyone to tell you otherwise! :)

Honestly?

Hand on heart.

This song...Wasted years... hmm...Not so catchy title.

Personally, I don't believe that there even is a such a thing. No matter how dreadful one's life has been, it's still an experience. Maybe not so pleasant one, but still an experience, nevertheless.

And that's how we grow stronger, wiser, more clever - through experience. Without difficulties, we wouldn't grow at all :)

About, those wasted years... She doesn't buy it either :)

When I started playing guitar on my own (long time ago) I was influenced by Jimi Hendrix. I tried to play his riffs - and I failed most of the time - but eventually I got better at it, and quite soon I formed a band with my friends. Well, I wasn't the best musician in the world and nor were my friends, so we soon came into the conclusion that we (as a band) need professional guidance.

So we took lessons from this one awesome older guy who showed us all how to play.He often played some old recordings (tapes and vinyls) and showed us the notes and patterns and how to play those difficult parts etc.

One of the first songs he told us to practice and play was this:

This was especially difficult and frustrating for our drummer, because the intro is in 5/4 (four beats per time but you have to count to five - and therefore go one over every time). It wasn't easy for us other players either, but our drummer was totally losing his mind :)

Typical night in a Finnish pub / restaurant - provided there's live music like this :)

In Finnish - sorry.

The speech before the song is like:

Next song is a song,
where you can sing along -
provided (of course) you know this song.

If you do not know this song - or don't know how to sing along

- then please shut up!!!

:D

Another Finnish song .Sound's Irish thou - just like the one before (have I mentioned that I like Irish music :)

My translation of the first verse and chorus:

That flight just ended into same restaurant
The doorman welcomes him to join
And folks with good intentions greets him with open arms
So this hero joins - and party's on

Time has passed since this hero had his greatest events
Old stories, he might exaggerate 'em.

The world is there, for him to conquer
So he swears and then raises his glass

He's the hero of the Night, so please be kind.
The morning comes too soon and kills the night.

He's the hero of the night, so please be kind.
Power of the magic potion fades with light .

Fades with light...
