OBS Engine RTA Remove Top Cap

Hey,

I recently got the OBS Engine RTA, pretty nice tank. But the one I got was filthy with machine oil, particularly under the top sliding cap that seals the juice fill hole.

Just wondering if anyone has been able to remove this top cap, and how they did it? I'd like to try and clean the entire tank with isopropyl, but would rather completely dismantle it and remove the o-rings before doing so.

I would just soak it overnight and give it a good rinse.

In isopropyl? I seem to recall reading that isopropyl will break down the o-rings.

Depends on the material. Shouldn't hurt silicone from my understanding.

That top slide cover cannot be removed. A soaking and cleaning should be fine but I've never used isopropyl for that.

I wash all mine in dawn. (removes oil very well). Rinse well and let dry. If you cant wait then rinse with vodka. Dries fast and leaves no residue.

or after drinking enough of the vodka you wont care

I use vodka also. If you have an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner put it in there with some vodka for a bit, rinse and dry.
