House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton, R-Mich.

Wouldn't hurt to give them some more ammunition.

I received a reply from Senator Brown last night:

He welcomes my thoughts, but disagrees with me on many of them.

He feels they can be used as an aid to quitting smoking, but not if it prolongs nicotine dependence.

He feels they are a high risk product for creating a new generation of nicotine addicts.

I think I sent that one the first time around when I addressed kids experimenting with vaping.

I've gotten at least three replies from him - they were all basically the same with no reason for me to believe that he(or most likely the staffer) actually read past 'e-cigarettes'. Never addressed any point, or thanked (or even acknowledged) the links I provided, and each had what seems to be the standard Democrat reply opening - by defining (to an obvious veteran vaper), what an ecigarette is

Do I think he read all the links I sent him? Doubtful. Bearing in mind most people make up their mind about something and don't want to hear they might be wrong. And afterall, he's a senator and I'm a lowly retired math teacher (trying to give the perspective through his eyes. I don't consider myself lowly at all, nor do I anyone else).

It sounded different than the ones I got. You may have gotten his/our the staff's attention. If so, good going! :- ) It's really why everyone so inclined should still continue to email these guys. Never know what may sneak into their view.
