Hi, I've got some SS I'd like to torch and was wondering if anyone knows of an oil that would be good to use? I tried torching one piece and didn't get as much color as I'd like. I've done copper for my Reo but discovered that without sealing it the colors fade over time, like just days. It seems being exposed to oxygen kills the color. Does anyone know if the fading occurs with SS as well?

Here is a pic of the copper door I did for one of my Reo's. I covered it with packing tape, best I had at the time, as soon as it was cool and it's kept it's color. It's the one next to the silver brushed mini Reo. I'm wondering if SS will need to be covered as well.
