First off thanks for all replies

I usually run coils between .9 and 1.2 ohms on a regulated mod at between 10 and 20 watts seldom do I go over 20 watts

would it be safe to run a 15amp battery and still be within safe limits

I would like to use longer lasting batteries than the 25r's I'm using now

There isn't much in an 18650 above 3000mAh, and that drops you down near 10A.
At 3000, the increase over a gently used 2500 is probably only 12-15% duration.
There's only so much they can pack in that size.

I'd suggest the very solid 20A 3000mAh LG HG2 and call it a day.
They'll still be there for you if/when you use higher wattage.

I have a few mods limited to 30/40 watts, no use anymore for many of my attys.
I have a few older TC mods without SS mode... same deal.

I'm glad I don't have any batteries that are low capability, you might be too.

Thanks for the replies
all my batteries now are 20 with 2500mah
i was hoping I could drop in amps and get longer battery life
Hey here 2 more options for ya their 10 amp 3500mah batteries. There top watt in a reg mod would be 35 and you running at 20 would give you plenty of head room. Also the sanyo's are known to have the safest chemistry of any battery (from what i've read). $12.98 Authentic Sanyo NCR18650GA 3.6V "3500mAh" Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery (2-Pack) (NCR18650GA, "3500mAh"/3518.3mAh, 2-Pack) at m.FastTech.com
$12.35 Authentic LG 18650MJ1 3.6V 3500mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) (18650MJ1, 3500mAh, 2-Pack) at m.FastTech.com
