June's full moon, known as both the Strawberry Full Moon and the Strong Sun Moon, will reach its peak this Friday, June 9, at 9:10 a.m. EST. After the May full moon, which urged us to practice caution, this month's full moon will imbue us with a renewed sense of energy and purpose.
As the summer solstice approaches, the days get longer and the urge to make the most of all that extra sunlight rises. In fact, even this month's full moon celebrations revolve around our daylight hours: Whether you perform a full moon ritual or simply hang out with friends on the patio, you're encouraged to spend the whole day of the Strong Sun Moon in nature, embracing the sun and its fiery energy.
If you can't make it to the great outdoors this Friday, you can still channel the sun in your personal life. Show yourself and those around you some warmth and affection — a little care goes a long way and will pay off when you return to your tasks feeling renewed and ready to go.
According to the Astrotwins, there's yet another reason to kick your life into high gear now. This year, the June full moon is in Sagittarius, a sign known for its playful energy. With the Strong Sun Moon occurring in a fire sign, you'll be full of vim and vigor, just in time for the summer season to begin. The Holly King and Oak King
The Wiccan God is the Lord of the Greenwood, consort to the Lady of the Greenwood. Known also as Cernunnos, the Green Man, Herne the Hunter, and Lord of the Wild Hunt, he is a god of fertility, growth, death, and rebirth.
Two God-themes figure predominantly in Wiccan Sabbats: the Sun-God theme and that of the Holly King and Oak King.
The Sun-God rules the seasons. At Yule, he is the new babe, the emodiment of innocence and joy. He represents the infancy of the returning light. At Imolg, his growth is celebrated, as the days are growing longer and light stronger. At Ostara, he is a green, flourishing youth whose eye is taken by the Maiden Goddess. On Beltane, he is the young man in love who takes the Goddess as his bride. Their consummated marriage is celebrated with maypoles and bonfires. At Midsummer, he comsummates his marriage in a union so complete that it becomes a death. He is mourned at Lammas, and at Mabon, he sleeps in the womb of the Goddess. At Samhain, he waits in the Shining Land to be reborn.
The symbolism of the Horned God is also played out the theme of the Holly King and Oak King. The Horned God is the Holly King and the Oak King, two twin gods seen as one complete entity.
The golden Oak King, who is the light twin, rules from midwinter to midsummer. The darksome Holly King rules the dark half of the year from Midsummer to Midwinter.

But the defeated twin is not truly dead, he merely withdraws for six months, some say to Caer Arianrhod, the Castle of the ever-turning Silver Wheel, which is also known as the Wheel of the Stars. This is the enchanted realm of the Goddess Arianrhod where the god must wait and learn before being born again. Arianrhod means "silver wheel" and the castle is the Aurora Borealis. She is the goddess of the astral skies and there she rules as goddess of reincarnation.

Solstice Herb Bread
3 cups flour
1tbs. sugar
1 tsp salt
1 pkg. dry active yeast
2 tbs. chopped fresh chives
2 tsp. fresh rosemary
1 tsp fresh thyme
1 1/4 cups hot water
2 tbs. Crisco
Mix 2 cups of the flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a large bowl. Add herbs, water, and Crisco. Beat slowly, stirring in the remaining cup of flour until smooth. Scrape flour from sides of bowl and let rise in a warm place for 35 minutes until it doubles in bulk. Punch down and beat with a spoon for about 15 seconds. Place dough in a greased loaf pan, patting down and forming loaf shape with your hands. Cover and let rise again for about 30 minutes or again until it rises in bulk. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Brush top with butter and margarine and remove from pan to cool.

I am happy you do that Katz....but that wasn't my point here....you are unique as most people don't even acknowledge their parents on their b-day.....
What do birthdays have to do with anything? It's not important when you were born, but that you were born.
Well...I do consider birthdays a celebration of life...in my way of seeing things ..I could have been born anytime ...or place..but I wasn't...and that makes sense to me.....and thus follows..that,s all that matters.....simplistic...but I wouldn't expect anyone else to understand my life,s journey...
