That would give you a form of staged heating, but with the gauges you listed I don't think you would notice much if any benefits. Ive done them with twisted 24 and a single 20.
Without using the wire to build and test, how does the resistance compare when using different gauges? Is there a formula for it?

26g twisted (2 strands twisted together with drill) other wire is 24g standard kanthal then wrap them around the wire i got this build from twisted messes i like it so far its a fresh build 5 wraps around a 3mm inner diameter and u get .25 ohms

I've done a few parallel builds on my doge V2. 24ga Kanthal works quite well if you're going for clouds. I did a 24ga parallel single coil, 5 wraps. Fast ramp up and nice cloud production. As for the two different gauges, it does create a staged heating effect like what was discussed. Haven't tried staged heating yet but might give it a shot tomorrow.

You can get some interesting effects twisting different gauges together. For just parrallel, not sure, but that comment above about "staged heating" might have an effect (the thicker/lower resistance wire getting hot faster than the other one). Or it might not - not really sure!

The coil calculator I use can give you ESTIMATES of resulting resistance with twisted wire and parrallel wires. But when you start mixing resistance, I don't think it can do that and you'll have to figure it out or take a guess and test it.

So I attempted this last night, dual parallel coils with a strand of 30 and 32g.... Wrapped both coils as if I had a single strand. One I left as it was and the other I separated the gauges and just slid them together. Ton of vapor, but I didn't get the wicking quite right, has a visible leak from one air channel after filling and tons of dry hits, so I'll be checking it out again tonight....
