The one that doesn't sit well with me is "any place children may be present" as that would include parks, beaches, and whatnot. I can see myself getting a ticket in the future. I can't really drive long distances without vaping. It's not really that I need the nicotine, it's that I have a sleep disorder and am prone to highway hypnosis, so vaping(which replaced smoking) keeps me occupied and focused. When I did 26 hours of drive time with my daughter from OK to CA, there's no way I could have done that without vaping. I always have the windows down when I vape btw. Soon it will be illegal for me to vape in the car with my daughter here in CA.

Thankfully we dodged the crab of the CA bill...

From the bill as passed and signed, my emphasis:

Outdoor areas. The use of vapor products is prohibited in the
following outdoor areas:
(a)Real property that is under the control of a child care
facility and upon which the child care facility is located, provided
that a child care facility that is home-based is excluded from this
paragraph when children enrolled in such child care facility are not
present

(b)
Real property that is under the control of a school and upon
which the school is located; and

(c)
Playgrounds, during the hours between sunrise and sunset,
when one or more persons under twelve years of age are present at
such playground.

Ok, that's a lot better than I thought. I hadn't read the bill itself. I was going from a fb post made by the pink lung brigade and it had the "wherever a child may be present" in it.
