Thanks. I am getting the CHECK BAT message on mine because of my battery. Problem solved^
ICR batts are probably not the best to use in mods - that could be why you're getting that message. You want it to say "High Discharge," Like IMR batts, INR for Sammies, VTC for Sonys, or the non-ICR LGs. Also, look at the "continuous discharge rate:" try to find ones that are at least 20A.
My #1 pick is the LG HG2 (3000mAh means longer vape time), #2 is Samsung INR-25R.

Sammies are like 6$ no excuse to cheap out on batteries.

1.4 ohm single vertical coil, 10 wrap, 26awg Kanthol, don't remember if it's 3 or 3.5 id, cotton ball wick just touching the bottom of the juice well and I just use the eye dropper to drop juice in it. 80vg/20 pg stuff called Moxxy, all vents wide open, 50 watts.

That battery looks like it had a solder tab removed from the bottom. Did it come from a laptop battery pack? Don't use those at all.
I'm grateful nothing bad happened. Just got a Sony battery for this D2. I was using that laptop battery in TC mode with my subtank mini.

Maximum discharge capacity of that cell is 4.4amps, the one that OP is using in the D2.

Yah that green samsung you were using is only a 4.4amp max discharge and its a ICR so they go pop when they get hot :)

I like using coils around 1.0 ohm on my regulated mods.

My brain is still stuck on the old days when I used to get insane results from my T2 tanks by using cotton yarn and making it a little longer than just touching the bottom of the well so my thinking is juice flow is as important as current flow, why I like the bigger id wraps.
