This song just gets my blood pumping! I'm so glad you liked it, Lady T! When I was in better shape than I am now, put Carman on and vacuuming turned into fun time! But I'd have to really crank it to over ride the noise of the vacuum!

I am also a huge fan of the song 'Holdin' On,' as it got me through many a dark night and day. Still looking for a better video than what I've found. I love the 'rough tough hard to bluff' lyrics.

There is a Carman song I heard long ago, and I only remember one line from it. "...tearing down the works of the enemy's hands." Do you know the song? Or maybe it's name? I've looked for it, but I haven't found it so far. Thanks! :)

It's called 'Marchin' and Moving. I am still looking for it to put on the site.:)

This one may not be for everyone, but I'm bringing a little Messianic Hebrew to this thread. The beat of the song, the minor notes, the dance, and banners are beautiful....especially the white flags with the blue Hebrew weave. The shofars and the dress of those who play them.....man, I miss my daddy. I get a kick out of the men in the audience dancing, too! But I love this guy....I'm tired after watching it a couple of times...whew!

When I was watching this just now, my heart leaped when I saw Israel's flag among all the flags.....so, that means, yep, you guessed it....I had to post it. I love the song too! I love the singing from Scripture 'Who Was and Is and Is to Come.' I hope some of you like it, at the least. My heart gets so joyful looking at the crowd praising their Savior and King. Plus Paul and all the other singers and musicians. GLORY!

This is a song that really ministers to me. Victory by the Blood of Jesus!! AMEN!!!!!!!

This was beautiful! I loved  it!

I loved Jesus of Nazareth. That was the best depiction of Jesus I've ever seen. I gave up King of Kings with Jeffrey Hunter a long time ago as it portrays Jesus as lying to His mother. That didn't happen.:nah:

I've been listening to RED for three albums now...and the new album is pretty good. I want to hear other sides (I'm a hard rock kind of girl) of the coin and share what I listen to that may spark a note with someone here....there are a lot of great Christian bands out there....

YouTube - Red - Hymn For The Missing (Lyrics in description) (no worries...it's the sappy song on the album :) )

Flyleaf is another that seemed to pickup on the mainstream side. I actually found RED because they opened up for Seether, Three Days Grace, and Breaking Benjamin and at the time didn't know they were a Christian band...unfortunately their following didn't explode like it did for me. They are currently touring with WinterJam...there is a variety of music types (not just rock) and I plan on attending when they come to Reading next month. You can hear some of it below....

The Winter Jam 2011 Tour Spectacular, Christian Music

They never called themselves a Christian group, but Mr. Mister clearly were inspired. Especially the lp titled Go On... Also, the Yes lp titled Big Generator has similar overtones. Those are oldies but goodies!

I always shied away from "Contemporary Christian" because I don't like the musical style. It's too soft rock/ modern country for me, so I tuned it out, regardless of how good the lyrics were. But the deacon in charge of music it our church has been introducing a lot of contemporary tunes. We don't do them in the contemporary style though, just voice and a piano or a guitar. I have come to love several of them and am even learning to play some of them myself. Now "Oh To See The Dawn" and "Before The Throne" are two of my favorite songs ever.

If you like harder stuff with a Christian message, listen to the album Dragontown, by Alice Cooper. It will literally scare the Hell out of you. It is very dark. It paints a graphic picture of Hell to show you that you do not want to go there. It is not for the faint of heart. This is my favorite, especially the last two lines:

11. It's Much Too Late

I never kicked a dog,
A child or my wife
I never looked at pornography
I swear it on my holy saint mother's life
But somehow she's down here with me

I never stole a thing
A toy or a kiss
My conscience is a clear as can be
And when I was a teen
All the sex that I missed
Was an abstinence blessing to me

The road to hell is littered
with nice guys with good intentions
But once you're there, you're there
It's much too late
I can cry and scream it's just not fair
To leave me here like you don't care
There must be some mistake up there in heaven

Now it's much too late
My time has passed away
All my plans and dreams have all ended
Now it's much too late
To try and plead my case
And I don't know the God I've offended
It's too late
