Provari mini problem

Recently my mini has started giving me a low battery signal, flashing light in the button. I check the battery and it's good. When I re install the battery it will work fine for awhile, then start flashing again. When I unscrew the end cap, and retighten, it will work for awhile longer. I've tried stretching out the spring for hopefully a better contact, but that didn't help. Any other suggestions?

How interesting! Mine has started doing this as well. I'm going to give it a good cleaning tonight - threads and contact - to see if that helps. Any other tips before putting in a ticket to send her back to the provi_spa?

I've found cleaning the inside contact with a long q-tip and alcohol helps along with cleaning the threads and spring.

A thorough cleaning, as well as cleaning the spring and threads should fix it. Also dab a q-tip in iso alcohol and gently clean the contact pin- where the battery touches the board. Check to see that the negative end of your battery is clean, as well...

A thorough cleaning of all threading, spring, & positive contact with a little alcohol should do the trick. No-Ox on the threads, after cleaning will help. That and a new spring are about all that can be done on the user end. Also clean the batteries themselves with a little alcohol as well.

If after this you still have the problem you would need to contact Provape, although most of the time this will correct the problem.

I've had this happen on one I bought used, in addition to what's already been suggested, Use an old toothbrush with isopropyl alcohol and really clean the threads to get the old Noalox off of them. Pull the spring from the endcap and really clean out the cup it sits in, use a pencil eraser to clean the end of the spring where it touches the battery till it's shiny, then wipe with alcohol. The spring can be tricky to re-install, but it will screw in with just a little pressure.

I have cleaned it, although I didn't take the spring out of the end cap, so I'll go thru everything again and see if it helps. Thanks.

One other thing, I don't use noalox, I just try and keep threads clean with a toothbrush and alcohol.

Ok, I'll order a few springs, and some No-Ox. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to apply the No-Ox in the area that the spring seats into?

one other thing to check ... with your finger, gently try to wiggle the board inside to make sure it has not come loose.

Mines been doing this for a while. Batteries get around half empty, then occasionally show dead, I reset them and check and they're around 3.6.
I assumed it was voltage drop when firing.

I can get some movement on the board with my finger, and if I shake the tube I can hear a rattle.

the rattle is likely the button and no big deal ... the board however, seems like it needs to be re-glued.

Ok, well I just ordered some springs and the no-ox, so when I get those, and clean and lube everything, if there is still a problem, maybe I'll send it in, and have them take a look at the board.

Are you sure your batteries are OK? This could happen if they are getting old.

The batteries are the "new" aw's, and I received them in Jan. They are still charging up just fine.
