New guidelines issued by Public Health England (PHE) urge employers to make eVapor devices a "more convenient option" to encourage cigarette cessation, avoid forcing their employees to vape in outdoor areas that are set aside for smokers since it could "undermine their ability to quit smoking and stay smokefree," allow extra breaks for the "frequent interim top-ups" because e-cigs deliver a smaller nicotine hit than cigarettes, and refrain from using smoking terminology when referring to vaping to avoid confusion, with PHE National Director of Health and Wellbeing Prof. Kevin Fenton saying that the guidelines are intended to "encourage organizations to consider both the benefits and the risks when developing their own policies on e-cigarettes."
