Question About Fluxomizers?

So I got some Fluxomizers and some Micromizer bottom coils today. The bottom coils don't work very well but I plan on modding them because they just aren't getting enough liquid. The Fluxomizers have a really weird taste. It's not quite a burnt taste. Do these take a little time to break in? I'm using 100% VG boba's bounty. Is that juice just to thick to wick properly? I don't have a lot of experience with Ce2 cartomizers.

Got the Fluxomizers working now. It was the juice. I cleaned it out and filled it with some high pg juice(e-joker) and now it is working pretty good. Unfortunately I wasted alot of Bobas bounty.

I haven't tried any straight VG juices; but what I have been doing with my CE2s is removing all the seals - the top seal and the cup seal. No problem with wicking, just can't lay them on their side . Plus I just drip down the inside of he tube to fill, no syringe needed.

One problem with the Fluxomizers is that even though they are supposed to be "primer-free", sometimes they still have that nasty Chinese tobacco or whatever.

I think it's a combination of that and they do need some time to break in... Just cleaned all of mine and have been slowly tweaking them until they work great and now they're easily my favorite.
