question on teflon

Is teflon inert in e-juice?

I want to seal up some threads on a tank and was wondering
if teflon tape was safe/inert in e-juice.

I don't know if it is safe or not but I wouldn't chance it if touches ejuice.

yes. Unless you heat teflon to 500f, it's perfectly safe for food use (which is why it's used in non-stick frying pans).

Chemically speaking, fluorine is a bad idea, but if you make your juice using that....

Hey trucker. I'm not doubting what you're saying here about Teflon because I don't have a clue. It's an interesting question. If it is safe it would be a cheap fix for fixing threads but food cooked in Teflon pans goes in your stomach not your lungs. Can you provide a source that says it's safe if inhaled in ejuice?

Teflon tape is also called Plumber's tape - since it is used to seal threads for water pipes. There should be no problem using it.

For tank parts teflon tape should be fine, as it's inert to most chemicals. For connections, no, as it's a non-conductive material.

i don't know to be honest, but seeing as how they are making drip tips out of it, i'd say it'd be ok to use......
