Leaking lying horz or standing up? How much leaking? A drop or two or pouring out?
If it's leaking lying horz you'll need more wick over the juice holes or you have a leaky seal.
If leaking standing up you prob have a leaky seal.
If it only leaks after chain vaping it you need more power, more airflow or a lighter draw.
It was standing up & pouring out of the afc. I thought perhaps it might have been the change in temperature. Going from inside ac to outdoors, but it wasn't that hot yesterday but definitely a temp change. I did up the temp to no avail. I'll check the seals, thanks!

This may sound like a strange question but did the vapor temp increase when you turned up the temp? Reason I ask is because the power has to be turned up high enough to allow the coil temp to increase. Example: 15w may be enough power to bring the coil temp up to say 385° but may not be enough to bring the coil temp to 390°; it might take 18w for that.
Either way sounds like you're flooding and really bad too ie those airflow holes are pretty far above the juice holes so I suspect a seal is leaking. Don't think wicking will change anything.

I was using it on wattage & just upped the wattage. I took it apart this morning to clean & check the o rings, o rings were fine. I readjusted the wick with a pointy tweezer & vaped on it pretty much all afternoon & it's fine now, it's a mystery o_O wonder if it was the temp change or the wick somehow moved? It looked ok when I looked but readjusted it anyway. Hopefully it stays fine. But thanks for all your thoughts!

Your welcome, scratching my head now. Your supreme lite should not leak when standing upright, even with no wick installed. The vacuum in the tank above the juice prevents that from happening. If a seal above the juice level is leaky your tank won't form a vacuum and juice will leak out and keep leaking until the level of juice in the tank equals the level of juice in the atty chamber.
Maybe try replacing the seals and see if that helps? (Shrug)

I could do with a little flooding or leaking...

Seems like everything I rewicked today either had too much density in the juice channels and didn't wick right, or not enough density in the coil and got dry hits...

Anyone else ever have a bad wick day???
YEEES!!! And it always happens the day I'm taking a new tank to show off at my local vape shops.

''Tis a mystery but I was out at Lowes looking at ceramic tile so I was holding the mod & it could've tilted when I was shopping without thinking about it. It was fine when I left the house got in the car vaping happily for 20 minutes then oops.. juice flowing out, but it seems ok now.

@TrollDragon , the wicking density in the coil has always been easier for me to get right than the wicktails in most rtas. That's the primary reason I moved to genny tanks like the Avocado and L+; they're much less particular about wicktail density and placement.
That said, there is a genny tank now that cares even less about wicktail density, The Aspire Quad Flex 4-in1. It has tiny air bleed holes drilled through the deck to allow air to enter the tank after every vape. The holes are large enough for air to go through to the tank but small enough that juice won't run out. It's my favorite tank thus far for flavor and consistency. Genius!
I'm going to put small air bleed holes in my L+ tomorrow and in my Ijoy Combo RDTA when it arrives.

wow, I was intrigued by this tank but put off by the 2ml capacity in RDTA mode... may have to reconsider.

Who has the best price on it? ecig has it for $30 and wondering if I can find it cheaper

When I get the wicking right, with the Avocado 24, Aromamizer v2, or Aromamizer Supreme Lite, I can have it straight up or horizontal (lying down), zero leaks in any of those tanks, no matter what the orientation.

I hate bad wick days, had one Thursday, nothing wicked right :)

I think it's more like 3ml. I holds 80 drops of 70vg juice.

You hit the nail on the head, since I'm a relative noob to rayon it's lots easier to get coil density right than accommodating different decks/tank's wick tails.

I looked at the 4in1 when it was announced but never followed up on it since I was not overly impressed with the Avocado 24. The AFC ring on mine was very loose and the offset posts in relation to the air slots bothered my OCD. ;)

Let me know how it works out with the holes on the L+ and I might do mine up as well.

I don't think I'll pick up the 4in1, I have too many atty's now with a 2/3ml capacity that I am constantly filling... :D

I get that brother. I vape on four or five setups during the day so most of the time I only have to refill them all in the evenings; then I fill my 4-in-1 three or four times by the time I go to bed. I just rail on the pig cuz the flavor is so good.

Hello all, I joined ECF because of rayon thread. :) I've used many types of cotton before, and I use KGD most of the time. But I thought I give rayon(sally cellucotton 100% rayon) a try. I got about 2M from my friend. Just wanted to give my take on rayon after going through about 15mls on my snapdragon.

Pros
1. Humangous juice capacity. This was absolutely shocking. I think I was able to get almost double the pulls compared to my usual KGD. I think this is the biggest pro.
2. Obviously no dry hit due to juice capacity. Since I'm used to cotton, everytime I take off the cap to drip, the rayon is not even dry. I should be easier on myself and go through more pulls before dripping. This is great because no one likes dry hits.
3. Stronger throat hit. I don't know why but throat hit is stronger.
4. Slightly denser clouds. I don't know why but cloud is more dense.
5. Decreased crackling. Probably because density is high inside the coils
6. Clean. Wow.... My wicks are..... So clean.... Wtf?????!

Cons:
1. Long break-in. Maybe it's just me, but it took about 30pulls to break-in. The worse part is, the taste before break-in is absolutely nasty. I almost gave up on rayon during the break-in period. But after break-in flavor is nice.
2. Little harder to work with compared to KGD. It's probably because I'm new to it. It's not hard, but really different. It was hard for me to get the right density to tightly jam rayon but not too tight so that it will destroy coil form. I don't think I can do spaced coils with rayon
3. Vape sometimes inconsistent. I don't know why, but sometimes flavor gets inconsistent. Took the cap off but coil was ok, and rayon was saturated. Put the cap back on, and vape was ok again.

Another thing, I was skeptical rayon can wick with super thin tails as some of the pictures and drawings on this forum. I only used like 10~15% for tails, and how the hell this thing is wicking no problem when I'm chain vaping it... is just amazing.

Flavorwise, hmm.... I can't say for sure because I wasn't on my ADV juice. But at the moment it is pretty similar to KGD, maybe a little better on KGD. But I will try rayon with other setups thoroughly before I make any definite conclusion.
Rayon is really nice, and thank you all on this thread for all the great information. I'll come back to the thread after I get more experience with rayon.

Something you could try since you drip, that I am planning to try next time I wick one of my RTA:

When priming a dry wick drip onto the wire/coil and pules it briefly, and keep dripping/pulsing so it draws the juice into the rayon from the center out. Repeat until the tails are fully saturated. Then properly fill your juice well and vape. All of those break in pulls will be done priming the wick before you start vaping.

Welcome to the forum, Yoshi! Glad that you found us, and that you're giving rayon a fair try. :) I broke your post up so that I could respond to a few things individually for you.

Pros

6. Clean. Wow.... My wicks are..... So clean.... ...?????!

You may also notice that the nicotine feels stronger. That is because rayon is more efficient at letting go of everything. It is less absorbent and does a better job of just transporting the juice to the coil so that it can be properly vaporized.

Cons:
1. Long break-in. Maybe it's just me, but it took about 30pulls to break-in. The worse part is, the taste before break-in is absolutely nasty. I almost gave up on rayon during the break-in period. But after break-in flavor is nice.

This is an indication that you have too much wick density inside the coil. The tighter it is, the longer the break-in period.

2. Little harder to work with compared to KGD. It's probably because I'm new to it. It's not hard, but really different. It was hard for me to get the right density to tightly jam rayon but not too tight so that it will destroy coil form. I don't think I can do spaced coils with rayon

You can absolutely do spaced coils with rayon. That is how every single one of my RDAs/RTAs are done. And I can assure you that I am not the only one. Read through the first couple of posts again and pay attention to the instructions that Jeremy laid out in them. When he mentions the "squeak" it is something that you can actually feel in your fingertips more than you can hear with your ears... at least to me. If it it too "squeaky", then that means that you need a little less wick. You can stretch the rayon to thin it out instead of pulling it all the way out and removing material.

3. Vape sometimes inconsistent. I don't know why, but sometimes flavor gets inconsistent. Took the cap off but coil was ok, and rayon was saturated. Put the cap back on, and vape was ok again.

Again, possibly due to over-wicking.

Another thing, I was skeptical rayon can wick with super thin tails as some of the pictures and drawings on this forum. I only used like 10~15% for tails, and how the hell this thing is wicking no problem when I'm chain vaping it... is just amazing.

Sounds about right for tail density for an RDA. That's how I've wicked the RDAs that are on my squonkers. Very thin tails that lead up to either 2.5mm or 3mm ID spaced coils.

I thought that was the culprit! Thank you for the confirmation. Also as you mentioned, I think overwicking led to sometimes inconsistent vape.

Thank you. I'll go read the initial posts again. I think I went overboard with wick density because I was trying to be very mindful to "THICK IN COILS, THIN IN TAILS" rule.
Just before coming to work, I vaped like crazy to dry out my snapdragon.... but this thing won't give me a dry hit. I looked at the wick... and tails are completely dry. Fluffy bunny ears? (the wick part that acts like a reservoir) was like 95% dry.... and I'm not getting dry hits.
What is Rayon? Does it hide juice somewhere where I can't see? LOL. really happy I tried out rayon. If I can get density right and flavor gets a boost with correct density minus break-in period... I think I'll stick with rayon. I don't know how it will perform in tanks though. I will to some builds on tanks this weekend with rayon and see what's up.

I pretty exclusively use Kayfuns, and all have rayon. Great wick. You'll be happy :)
