Just take a pebble and cast it to the sea,
Then watch the ripples that unfold into me,
My face spill so gently into your eyes,
Disturbing the waters of our lives.

Shread of our memories are lying on your grass;
Wounded words of laughter are graveyards of the past.
Photographs are grey and torn, scattered in your fields
Letters of your mem'ries are not real.

Sadness on your shoulders like a wornout overcoat
In pockets creased and tattered hang the rags of your hope.
The daybreak is your midnight; the colours have all died.
Disturbing the waters of our lives, of our lives, of our lives, lives,
lives, lives...
Of our lives.

Flying so high, trying to remember
How many cigarettes did I bring along?
When I get down I'll jump in a taxi cab
Driving through London town
To cry you a song.

It's been a long time
Still shaking my wings.
Well, I'm a glad bird
I got changes to ring.

Closing my dream inside its paper-bag.
Thought I saw angels
But I could have been wrong.
Search in my case,
Can't find what they're looking for.
Waving me through
To cry you a song.

It's been a long time
Still shaking my wings.
Well I'm a glad bird
I got changes to ring.

Lights in the street,
Peeping through curtains drawn.
Rattling of safety chain taking too long.
The smile in your eyes was never so sweet before
Came down from the skies
To cry you a song.

You're bound to think that I'm on the shore
From a sea that never came
Now's the time to find the time
I've done what has to be done

Voices call the nameless one
Crying all of the time
Tales of no-one in my sleep
Stepping out into the night

But you said you saw Medusa
The one with the head of fire
But the legend of Medusa
Lies in the devils sights

I've got myself to blame
Through talkin' to ya' brother
Too late to say I'll stay
Too late to say I'll bother
Take out your tongue and speak
A friend you ought to keep
Fading forces bared
Now wake before you sleep
Ya' said you saw Medusa
She was looking down on you
But the legend of Medusa
Soon be with you

You're bound to think that I'm on the shore
From a sea that almost came
There's no time to find the time
I've done what has to be done
I've done what has to be done
I have done
I have done
I have done
I have done
I have done
I have done
I...
I...
I have done, I have truly done
I...
I have done, now I have truly done, now I've got to find a way home
Take a good look at my face
Oh
There is no more

We used to play this one in VFW halls when I was 15....

Well hey Hypno, listen to this! Mitch lived in a place called Roseville Mi.(his parents house) It was 12 mile & Gratiot area, by the Korvette's shopping center. This is where all the Hoods hung out, Top Hat hamburgers etc; Drinking beer in the parking lot & peeling out in 50 mercs with primer spots and hollywood mufflers, :D looking for a fight...ultra cool & wild it was, this is where I hung out at 16. Real cool it was and then riding around on my motorcycle with girlfriend on the back, I also had a '55 chevy(1st car & a Triumph bike, working @ the gas station making good money too) cruising around and felt like James Dean or something...TOOOOCOOOL!!! :w00t::lol: Glad I got to live the life...bunch a pusses these days, always telling ya something but never really saw or lived, or anything & thats just really too bad I guess but those were the days my friend! :thumb:
