My Boston Rounds are thick glass. I've accidentally dropped two into our porcelain kitchen sink without breakage or even a chip. One was full and the other empty. Both had the cap on.

I have wondered whether glass or LDPE plastic made a difference in UC steeping. Anyone compared both? Seems like glass wouldn't pass the vibrations as well as LDPE.

Definitely don't use plastic, not worth the concern of leaching.

I hated the UC for "steeping" eliquid, but the UC has found many great uses around the house! hope it works out for you :)

Here's the answer as to which type of plastic bottles are safe for use with liquids.
Which Plastic Containers Can I Safely Use?

Type 4: Low-Density Polyethylene - Safe
Frozen foods packaging and condiment squeeze bottles often contain Type 4 plastic because it is flexible and resistant to solvents. Type 4 plastic does not contain any known harmful chemicals. Low-density polyethylene containers may have the symbol "LDPE" on them.
