Restriction/rules of vaping in streets

I don't know about Tokyo, and I've never heard of any vaping restrictions in outdoor places, but I do vape while walking around in Miyazaki & never had any trouble.
Restrictions/rules never heard of them let alone seen another vaper in Nara. Theres a vape shop in amemura in Namba. My Jfriends generally avoid me since I quit smoking & started vaping. I tried to explain to them about it. shoganai!
I live in Tokyo and follow the same rules for smoking. If there is a smoking ban on the street, I don't vape. If inside, I vape in the same area that smoking is allowed. The main thing, is that many people do not know what vamping is. But luckily, many bars and restaurants still allow smoking. Smoking in the streets in unadvisedly and illegal in many areas.
Japan is a country of humility, think about how others would think. Don't force the issue, be polite and just understand that it is considered smoking. Find smoke friendly places to vape.

indoors i vape in smoke areas.

Never been to Japan, and trying to suck in all needed information before travel, not to behave like stupid there.
After i found that there is some street ares banned smoking, that make me thinking is there other speciel rules.

June is a bit far ahead we usually meet up 1 time every few months.... think last one was November, so June may happen. You can always suggest closer to the date, around may
