Rubber O-ring came off 510 to ego adapter

Is this a problem? Do these adapters need the little o ring as a safety feature for electricity? Can I still use this adapter or should I just go pick up another one?

The o-ring serves two purposes. One, it's an insulator and two, it helps prevent leaking. If you can't replace the o-ring, definitely get a new adapter.

+1 to what Retired1 said above. Not worth an electrical short for such an inexpensive fix.
